    With the latest update, now it has 24-hour time option, Suno music creation connection, voice control: network, Bluetooth, play-pause, next song option. I'm telling you, it's much more than when 1st released. More updates to come. Should have delayed release, but it's on now 🔥🎉🎊 *location functions much improved... Glad I geeked out and kept mine.

      Exactly people that don't understand software didn't allow the device time to bake not even a month before running off with bad reviews, kinda annoying, but the ones that do we're smart to keep their devices, you see the r1 and pin run circles around the traditional phones as they get updated to do things the current phones just can't accomplish.

    I just received my unit a couple of days ago, and I can tell you it does not respond at the speed show in this video. There are clear edits where the wait time for an answer is being edited out. The unit is slow often with poor results (or sometimes just doesnt reply). None of the LAM features really work. I asked it only a few things before realising that Chat-GPT on my iphone was quicker, more accurate, better quality and didnt require a separate device. I have not watched this channel before, but this video is not representing the reality of the device.

      Very good point! My initial intention was to show the real time length of responding to questions but was shorten because many people who watches my video complain about delayed times and gets bored with it. I believe I might have shown a glimpse of how long it takes to respond on the earlier part of question but if I haven't, I apologise

    Glad you are happy with it! Remember that's your experience and it doesn't negate the devices shortcomings or others options. It's a device searching for a purpose. I think it would be great for a classroom or for kids to use to learn but as a device we use all the time and have to charge and carry around? Not so much for most people. Otherwise we all have phones with google lens, ChatGPT etc.

      Also, he’s not even gassing up the device. His point is that all these tech content creators are 💩ing on this device unfairly as it is still in its early stages. It took literally one update to cover some real ground in its usefulness. One.
      To be fair, I do think concern is warranted as it did ship out with all the potential and little features. When has that stopped any other company from putting out a product or game.

So it they judged it like a finished product as they should. I feel like you are a little bit biased or give a fan view in this video. They haven't delivered on their promises.. and the product is still very much in beta stage! It's good that companies get called out for selling half baked products! Again.. @@ljptech the Rabbit R1 is not new tech either unfortunately, not by any stretch of the imagination can it be called "new tech"
      it's literally subpar budget phone specs placed inside a plastic square casing, with android and chatgpt installed with some minor customizations and the prospects to use an existing software to map out sites and take actions on those sites (which is not an action model at all)

    My first question is why should reviewers be patient with tech when it’s being released as a finished product? They didn’t ask people to Beta test it and instead charged them money. I think it’s fine to be critical of a product as perpetual optimism is what leaves room for people’s good intentions to be taken in by scams. We should be rewarding complete, useful, and “as advertised” products over wishing that our sunk cost is rewarded.

    Hey dude! just some feedback (you don't have to take it onboard, just an opinion). I can understand how you may feel that the big tech youtubers may have been unfairly negative/bias, but this video is the polar opposite. You went into reviewing the r1 with a clear objective to show how good it is (having rose tinted glasses on). It's your channel, you can do what you want - but personally I love watching reviews where I feel someone is being objective, where someone is telling me both the good and the bad. It makes me believe what they're saying is fair. This review somewhat came across as a paid sponsorship (it isn't). A lot of what this device can do a phone can do, which is what many of the top guys were saying. But even so - many of the functions of the device are not working, even after updates. Yes, they should be finished in time - but no one has a crystal ball - which is why many people were warning to be careful with buying this. Especially seeing that the owner of the business has a shady past.
    Anyways, sorry if this comes across as a negative comment - it's not meant to be. I appreciate your videos a lot / I'm subscribed. Take care, and enjoy the R1 - hopefully it keeps on improving so people get their money's worth :) the idea of it is interesting, I hope it works out.

    Love your vids as always, brother. I'll be honest this isn't really that impressive to me. Our phones do this just as fast or faster. This will also be an extra device to carry and charge so it needs to do something better or different. What I want to see is their claim that it can book an Uber or order food for you just by telling it to. Asking it questions is something we've been doing since the first voice assistants. They need to be better. Also, help these developers definitely, but don't be afraid to criticize as well, especially if it's constructive. The best way to help is to be honest. They released the product too early and reviewers can only review what they are given. They can't recommend something for people who will purchase it if they can't prove it's worth buying. I hope it becomes what they said it's supposed to be, but don't think it's there yet. It's why I didn't buy one yet. Even as an early adopter.

    I have to admit, since the updates, this is actually interesting. You can adjust some settings by voice. Translation seems more accurate. Location based inquiries, weather, and businesses have been accurate. Magic camera/photo is a cool perk, and follow-ups to questions have been much improved. Battery Life is better. If anything, perhaps it was rushed. However, with the latest updates, I'm kind of enjoying it now and looking forward to future updates. *Spotify works great for me, and the camera eye is cool and useful.

    I'm sorry but the moment phone producers start baking AI into their OS, these AI devices will be irrelevant. That's the point that a lot of the tech channels were making. It just isn't logical or practical to have a second device with less access to the information it needs to actually serve as a useful voice assistant. And that's completely ignoring the issues the device comes with.

    • @_xyzyz_
      @_xyzyz_ 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      honest question (reallllly) you trust Apple/Google/others enough to let them have access to all of that 'information' that would be needed to be a useful assistant ?
      I doubt I will ever trust any of the tech giants with all of my data but I know I am not in the majority on this. You just seemed so willing to 'open the books' to your life it was a genuine surprise as I read your comment. Sounds like you should be using something integrated into your smart phone. You will need that level of integration to reach your goal.
      Maybe it is not a big enough market to stay in business for Rabbit (and others) but I hope I can get something less wired into my life if it turns out we will need to use some reduced feature set of AI processing to live/compete in the future.

    • @sloraris
      @sloraris 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@_xyzyz_ no I get what you mean. It’s not without additional concerns, obviously, but in the current state of the tech world it’s impossible to avoid trusting someone else with your stuff unless you’re self-hosting everything. My phone already carries all the stuff I need it to know (calendar, contacts, addresses, cell connection, Bluetooth devices, wifi, etc) so I don’t see the point in allowing another company or device access to that for a worse experience.
      The only way to truly be secure is to air-gap everything and not go outside ever. That’s not practical for me, so when I have to choose who I’m willing to trust with my encrypted data, I’d rather choose the company that denied installing a back door to their devices for the FBI over the company who makes their money from harvesting my data and pushing ads. Every single time. That’s just my perspective though. It’s good to have competition so different people can choose what works for them.
