This is my first time ever listening to Wrust. I fucking enjoyed it. This is the type of metal/music that is worth supporting. I'm a lifelong metal head and I gotta say I found my way here through a crazy weird source. The Wall Street Journal.
That makes two of us. This song is extremely epic. What I like about this song is the riffs are heavy yet uniquely melodious at the same time. The screaming is also not over the top but pleasant, natural, and you can actually understand what the lead vocalist is saying.
Hello from SEATTLE! I'd like to see maybe Clutch and other bands work their networking mojo to get Wrust onto a bill in Europe, U.S. and/ or South America! I like Skinflint okay, but they edge a little too close into the commercial sound for my taste.
The lead guitar is so freaking kickass! !!! You can see through this song the influence of their culture, it's just so amazing... I swear I've never heard anything like that. Rock on guys !
Yep. Same here. Can't stop listening. Especially since I finally found a rare African death metal band that not only has a vocalist that can scream very well but also his unique heavy riffs that are melodic. What more could I ask for.
For now, I think Botswana is the country with the most metal scene in it. But in time, Africa could possibly be the last frontier for heavy metal in almost all countries, but I agree with you, this is pretty cool.
LYRICS: Sometimes I wish I was so blind I hate to see the serpent rise Feeding the minds of the weak, enslaving the strong Holding the leaders breathe, by the balls Betrayal by the law I wish you would set us free Set us free Sometimes I wish I was so deaf There is no need to hear what they say Killing thy friend Burying thy wife Enslaving the children What the hell is going on Betrayal by the law I wish you would set us free Set us free (Guitar Solo) Sometimes I wish I was so blind Sometimes I wish I was so deaf hate them all!
If heard of this band a lot of years ago, but couldn't find them. I was just talking to a buddy about metal from other countries and remembered the name. Really good sound. Cheers from Denver, Colorado, USA!
It's great to see that the SPIRIT of METAL has reached even a relatively obscure nation like BOTSWANA! It truly IS a powerul thing,a force to be reckoned with! Good luck to you guys!
This band had quite a following in my hometown. Separated by continents and countries but the musical style, the tone, the lyrics. Maaaan, Everybody wanted to sound like these guys
The sound of the lead guitar is amazing. This is probably my favorite song by you guys. Keep up the good work! I do my best at trying to promote you guys with friends and on a metal fb page I am an admin on. You deserve way more attention!
Why the fuck am I just now finding these guys? Holy fucking shit.. I get a Sepultura or Ektomorf vibe when I listen to this.. And that solo was on point, damn..
Already shared this one on Facebook, so my friends can learn about Wrust. I love this Sepultura, Ektomorf and Slipknot Mix with the african touch in it! Raw, Dirty, in your face!!! Exactly how it should be!

+James Chaffee Here's hoping for that perfect world of Metal one day
Now we only need Antarctic metal
most people forgot what metal is about.
DocDelray 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The beginning and the voice at start kinda reminds me of Sepultura! The "Roots" period
Chorus : "I wish you'd send Icecream,
Send Ice,
Send Ice .. Creeeam
I wish you'd send Icecream,
Send Ice,
Send Ice .. Creeeaaammmuuuuuhhhh"
Now I can't hear anything else
@@doubleleterlady god dammit, read this just before it came up
🤣🤣🤣🤣you win!
not even funny at all
Vocalist reminds me of Max Cavalera. In no way is that meant as an insult.
There is a big Sepultura influence with the band as a whole.
Dilligaf: It's not an insult. It's actually a compliment.
Opa, brasileiro aqui! Hehehe SEPULTURA!!!
Me also I was getting Sepultura vibes off of em'.
I dont hear any sepultura vibe.. The sound reminds me of entombed.. The swedish tone
I appreciate the honesty and authenticity of your music.
Love the song
Much Respect from South Africa 🤘

LYRICS:
Sometimes I wish I was so blind
I hate to see the serpent rise
Feeding the minds of the weak, enslaving the strong
Holding the leaders breathe, by the balls
Betrayal by the law
I wish you would set us free
Set us free
Sometimes I wish I was so deaf
There is no need to hear what they say
Killing thy friend
Burying thy wife
Enslaving the children
What the hell is going on
Betrayal by the law
I wish you would set us free

Fuckin' aye.... I wish you guys could be on Spotify.
They would make 10x the audience there. I wonder is it because their location Spotify doesn't bother offering any contracts?
