My senior year, there was a carpet square missing in our library/ computer lab. I was sitting at a computer with my back to the rest of the library when someone asked me why it was missing and I said “Since it kinda looks like a woman’s landing strip I bet Ms Wilson got hungry and ate it” I started laughing and so did other students but my proud, hilarious moment was abruptly ended by my butch, lesbian, principal Ms. Wilson clearing her throat behind me saying “Duke, my office. Now.” To say the least that meeting did NOT go well with her and my preacher of a father😅😂😂
I can totally relate, never wanted to be a Firefighter, was always going to be a mechanic, which I did become, I currently fix garbage trucks (Hillin) for NYC. Became a volly at 33 and I love it. (We don't respond to med calls lol)
Started the fire service after a friend had me do a ride along. Got second in testing. No academy. Got hired on. Worked as firefighter / EMT for 7 years. Loved the job. Left to be with family more. Miss it every day.
As a firefighter in WA state. I can confirm most academies are very paramilitary. Even in my volunteer academy we used to do duck walks around our drill ground if we didn’t make our bunker gear times. 😂
Absolutely loving the podcast boys! Self retired TX FF/EMT-P living in the Fort Worth area. I found your podcast when you guys were around 300 subscribers. Wish you had more episodes when I started watching. You guys make my work drive with your great roasts, Seinfeld, Step Brothers, Dumb and Dumber, and officer Doofy comments. Wish I had worked with a hilarious crew like y'all. Keep up the great work. Also I have a few show ideas. Do you have an email I can reach out to? Much love my brothas!
Hey guys, this episode was great! In 7th grade, I got in trouble for asking a big brested girl if her bongos were real. She ratted me out to the teacher, and I had to write a paper on sexual harassment and read it to the class. Also, I got ISS (in school suspension) for a day, I had to sit in a cubicle in the schools old bomb shelter.
@Shutitdownboys the while driving they just gave him new bunkers and threw out his old ones. At the fire, he ran to the neighbors house, asked to use their bathroom, then left a $5 thank you tip on their kitchen counter
My school took athletics SUPER seriously. If we got detention or failed a test the sports coaches (I was in wrestling and baseball) made us come in on a Sunday morning and clean the locker rooms and weight rooms. Needless to say, the janitors and I got pretty friendly over the years
I saw a video somewhere else with a question I would love to hear you guys answer together it's "if you could commit any crime with no repercussions but after you commit it no one can ever commit it again what crime would you commit"
As a bet, I got a teacher to sign a petition to get himself fired. I thought it was just for a joke, but it was submitted to the principal. When I got called to the office, she just plopped the form down in front of me and laughed. Got 2 Saturday detentions to be made an example of. Shout out to you guys for the content, its keeping me sane after these long classroom hours in the fire academy. Hope to graduate early December👍

I almost got arrested 2 weeks before graduation for letting a kid ride on the bumper of my 2000 Subaru forester in the school parking lot.😂
