Thank you! I am definitely not the first one to implement the trapper box! But it is one of the best mods to make for these elans, other than bigger motors and ski skins!
great video man, i finally got my elan up and running again and am working on getting it trail ready. the trapper box really helps on these machines for daily use i find.
You should do and as-is Test, DB Sound Test at Idle and at Max rpm. Then do a Speed Test at max rpm. Then do some High Performace mods, Cylinder Porting, Then Raise the CR to 9.0, then 10.0 then 11.0 with a Speed Test after each one. Then a Carb upgrade to 34mm and a Speed test. Then do some Exhaust mods with Speed Test. Stock is 12hp@5500rpm. Stock is 7.5cr.

The part in the recoil that grabs is called a pawl or a dog, great video
