Slides!! BOOYAH!!!! The layout is the same as the previous episodes: discussion of the technique followed by a combo to practice application of the technique. Gone bump some!
Thankyou for these tutorials really appreciate this knowledge your giving out free. Never knew you had to move with the foot that's moving, its small details like that that make the difference.
Keep em coming bruh. I grew up in the Mound and wish i would've had the patience as a young nigga yo learn how to jook smh. Hopefully it ain't to late lmao
When you get ready to push, bring the pushing foot in close to the other foot to start the push. Also, try putting more of your weight on your pushing foot. With the pushing foot starting closer to the other foot, you'll have more control over the push because it'll be easier to center/adjust where you put your weight.
@@bkthedancer you might see me comment a lot on these videos. I love watching jookin and can do the heel toe flicks AKA Pac-Man. Trying to add more to it.
Definitely helping me get this down But yo, I get push slides Im confused as hell with the pull ones for some reason. Tryna find more videos to watch with folks doin the pull glides
Probably won't find anybody talking about pull slides considering most don't break down sliding the same way I do. Think of them as a slide that pulls your feet together while the push is used to push them apart. If that doesn't, then I can make a short vid talking about pull slides 👍
While learning to slide, just let them move naturally; Focus more on the illusion of the feet. After you've gotten comfortable, then try adding waves, pointing in directions like you are controlling the slide, tuts, and any other arm movements you use in your dancing.
Thanks for breaking it down because it helps much more than just “do this”

Best shoes to do this other than 11s and af1s?
It's really down to what feels best for you, but I do recommend Adidas Superstars.
For the slides what do you recommend for arm placement ?
