Too complicated 10 minutes setting the DRO for a 5 minutes job!!!!! I will stick to my 55 year old experience:-))) I have a Super7B lathe when I want some precision I just use a DTI with a magnetic base very quick!!!
I've just bought one of these & it doesn't really take any setting up to use it just as a DRO. Helped me out this weekend no end. I'm new to lathes so using the dials is a bit tricky for me & my Allendale DRO is brilliant, although the instructions that come with the universal version sren't up to much
I fitted one of these systems about 3 years ago and agree with all your comments, it saves so much time, best wishes James
Excellent video. Most useful to us beginners. Thank you for taking the time to produce this resource.👍
Just found your channel and subscribed. Very nice work. I’m busy fitting a DRO on my myford. Thanks for this video
At first I thought there "alright for youngsters" but with 58yr old I think this is going on the workshop want list. Nicely explained thanks.
I’m considering buying one for my old myford. Thankyou for a grand review

Many people use the terms accuracy and precision synonymously but there’s an important difference between the two.
If the super 7 is similar to the ml7 you can reduce the backlash quite easily by adjusting the lock but behind the handwheel

Send me an email at perryowens73@googlemail.com and I will give you my mobile number. I don't like to put it in a public post.
