Absolutely..when the expert(rebecca) said the value is worth 1500$ then he could have started the negotiation from 1500$..may be he could end up getting 1200$-1300$..but he stuck with his original price 1000$..

@@jcmartinez7527 depends on the item in question. With most items, Rick has the upper hand. Sellers want his cash more than Rick wants or needs their item. Legit WW2 or presidential memorabilia have a substantial buyers market that Rick knows he can at least double his buying price and it will still fly off the shelf.
On occasion however, some items come in that Rick wants so bad he doesn't even try to bluff where the seller has all of the leverage.

This was actually one of her rare mistakes. It’s not a first edition. She got it confused with another book she was researching before they filmed the spot. She talked about it in her blog at the time and totally fessed up to it.

The guy blew it. I know Rick expected him to say $1,500 when asked how much you want now? The dummy said, $1,000, and so Rick started to bringing him down from there. He could have gotten the $1,000 in the end or even $1,100. Rick is a sneaky bandit.

Although my Dad was a “non-combat” soldier, he played a vital role in the D-Day preparations and landed on Omaha Beach on d-day plus 3. He also drove the entire time of the existence of the Red-ball Express.
