I’m just back from Kerry and came across your channel. Very interesting and well presented. I’m subscribed to your channel and looking forward to your next podcast
Thank you Derek for your time and efforts putting all this together for us. Really appreciate it. Quick question would you be able to hammock the way. Thinking of this winter and would rather be up off the ground
Even though my faith may be weak I still feel a great calmness in a church.Especially if it's a real old church like St Francis Church meelick co galway. Very beautiful place.
Yes I have quite complex thoughts around it all and a rather unusual relationship with these places. Something that has become more simplified as of late (how I see things). Cheers Derrick

Lovely church. God be with you
Have you been to Clonmacnoise? Lovely track walk between Cadamstown village ( close to the Slieve Blooms) and Clonmacnoise -
Another excellent video showing our gorgeous Country to all your followers.
Cheers Mary !
Hi Declan, below are a few thoughts to remind you of your stay on the Blaskets to thank you for all the lovely places you share with your viewers.
The Blasket Islands
A reminiscence of giant sea mammals in slumber,
I blunder upon the scene;
The Blaskets - black silhouettes
Against the yellow ochre sun.
Their ever changing beauty stilled,
Yet full, in the fading light.
Tomorrow - they promise-
Another beauty day;
Sun or storm, their beauty never waning.
Be there thunder clouds,
With strike of light upon their seam of rock,
Amid the grey green ocean -
A punch of beauty shock
To take your breath away.
Safe distance from the boiling foam
And green grass cliff,
These moments 'stop the clock'.
Should the sun glow down upon those hills,
Humpbacked, in the wide expanse of blue,
Long-forgotten dwellings on Great Blasket you can view;
A glimpse of ancient simple times,
Of fish - and flowery potato drills,
When music meant a lapping wave, Celtic airs or gull shrills;
Upon a hill, Peig's old ghost
With eyes upon the ferry still;
Lips moving in silent prayer,
Looks down on this 'family' of beauties
As varied flocks of seabirds
Follow ancient duties.
