I want to see the opposite perspective. How to handle getting rushed as a control deck and which blockers or other cards to play to survive the early beat down.

I disagree with the attack order on turn 3. I think it's correct against fire decks. But against nonfire decks I think prioritizing Gonta staying on the field is more important than getting the pyro back to hand. Since if the first shield is a surfer and they bounce gonta, we can't end the game anyway on the following turn, and gonta is the hardest card to play back with a follow up. If they bounce sniper it is very likely you can play sniper+another creature next run, or the volcanic with sniper, or you just top deck a speed anyway. My attack order would be Gonta, Sniper, Rikabu against nonfire control.
Thanks for your opinion. Yes this is also an option tho its very close. It really depends on what your opponent is playing. E. g. if they play Spiral Gate instead of Surfer or you hit Pit instead. Also it depends on if your opponent in his non fire deck is playing Yuliana and/ or Miraculous Snare. I could see both options being right. - Spaulding

I believe the correct play is to not play rush and use a different deck type
