  • Join us for a journey into the past with Yukon Palaeontologist Dr. Grant Zazula as he presents the fascinating story of the Versluce Bison. Unearthed in 2012 in the Whitehorse area, this mid-Holocene bison skeleton has provided invaluable insights into the history of bison in an area once glaciated during the last Ice Age.
This Beringia Centre Science Talk (#BCST) was livestreamed on Zoom and Facebook on January 14, 2021.
    About the Speaker
Dr. Grant Zazula moved to Yukon in 2006 to take on the role of Yukon Palaeontologist. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta and his PhD from Simon Fraser University. His love for the Yukon all started when he travelled there in 1999 for his thesis work.
