I dislocated and fractured my right elbow 9 weeks ago. I lost my full ROM, but with PT now feel quite better. I still cannot feed myself with right hand, comb my hair, put a makeup or brush my teeth. Therapist recommended to start using an elbow brace for flexing and that is my next step. I also just started myofacial release and just with one secion I felt huge relive in the tension and stiffness in my elbow and whole hand. This is not fun at all, but it feels good to see all the improvements. Need my hand back so I can do regular stuff and get back to "normal".

I doubt you guys know the answer to this but here we go.
When i was 12-13 like 16 years ago i fractured my whole elbow all 3 bones. Basically i hyper-extended it; picture it, I fell with my left hand pointed backwards and instead of my arm extending in the way it should naturally, it collapsed backwards completely. Like no joke my hand touched my the back of my head i remember feeling it.
Basically i had surgery (but they didn't make an incision they "pushed my bones back together manually." in their words. Regular stuff cast on for 2 weeks then went got it changed had it on for another 2 weeks. Thing is i moved from cali to nyc before i was able to start physical therapy. And i have basic movements in my arm just cant twist it to the left or right or close it all the way when i flex. My arm is still weak and even when i work out i focus on that arm more, and it never seems to get bigger. Shit looks weird on my body. Even in my profile pic you can see my left arm(broken one) is always to the side.
Sorry for being so long, But what can i do?!?!

bro, good commentary and diction, are you kidding? personally, i felt let down that you stopped so short! I too hyperextended (motor bike, way too fast, left turn, back brake not doing the job, tapped front and SUPERMAN to concrete, no road burn, right arm dominate too) my elbow and have three (3) screws on the radius. Scenario is this: insurance, doctor both failed (wonder why?) and I have no orthopedic anymore, fired him and his staff, so I'm 6 weeks into a (3) month ordeal and no doctor to write PT instructions.
Vigorously searching the internet, do I have a general practitioner but I'm not sure everyone is the same in terms of physicality clearly. No two surgeries are a testament to the former, so I think you should try muscle milk protein and concentrate on the hurt arm, leaving the other arm out of workout for a few weeks.
The only reason I say muscle milk (or other brands with similar ingredients) is this: I just ran out of it and after only 4 days, my body seems to now be aching and I can't workout anything but LEGS. Are you an upper body lifter and don't work out legs?
Interesting is that I have not lost a but bit of muscle even though I can only work legs (5'11" 205, 40 yrs old) and I use that new step machine that looks like an escalator.
Also, working out legs hard core will set off all the chemicals in the body including the cortisones and testosterone and do it on Mondays. Sounds stupid, but if I can't lift a twelve pack or open a door, but I can squat 500 lbs, then something has to be happening and i attribute it to diet and that damn muscle milk plus this: www.livestrong.com/article/484036-does-working-out-legs-help-your-body-get-bigger-faster/
