    Abercrombie has said that as he was a man in his late 20s at the time of writing, he admits he wasn’t able to convey female characters with the same gusto. His second trilogy (and the standalones tbh) completely put that in the past.

      Agree. Best Served Cold and the recent trilogy have some of the strongest/funniest female characters in fantasy.

    I truly don't think you're being hyperbolic about the writing, it really is that good! And I know you mentioned dialogue, but I love how the narrator's voice also changes where you can also tell a perspective purely from the narrator's language. Also, yes, I completely agree with your big negative, such a shame.

    I must say, I finished this book this morning after falling into this series and reading all 3 books within the week and I had an existential crisis.... and now.....6 hours later I am SO MAD!!! I may need help! LOL

    Fero was definitely my least favorite character in this series and I agree that her character arch and development could have benefitted with a little more page time. The "pairing" of her and Logan was gold in my opinion. Probably, the only Romance I've enjoyed in a fantasy book. Awesome review man.
