You might think that because you either have no bad memories or you have very few and low bad ones. For someone who has completely shitty memories and he can clearly remember them even if he wanted to forget them, is a blessing
This episode really shows the contrast between Ayano and Kisara. Both are deeply in love with Shuu and they will do anything to protect him. In this case, Ayano will do everything in her power to make Shuu stay away from the case, she doesn't want Shuu to accomplish his revenge but lose his memories in the process, meanwhile Kisara will do anything to let Shuu achieve his main goal even if the price is his memories, because in the end, he won't forget about Kisara but he will forget Ayano and his love for her. That is how you write a Yandere ladies and gents.

I felt sad but tranquil but Engage Kiss is different he didn't walk the path alone, people can see his sacrifice and the effects of his decision and no one has a clue what sacrifice he made with the devil.

there is an anime called valvrave the liberator ....that anime is based on intergalactic fight and the mecha that mc uses feeds on its memory to achieve greater power ....in the last fight with the main villain the mc gives up all of his memory to defeat him and he eventually dies after some time inside .....so it is very similar to that

i dont know how to say. its like im having a deja vu seeing similar situation over and over and over... im kind of knowing what happen to the end. There are multiple ending which would end up tragedy, ignorance of bliss or something sad. Including the sacrifice somehow. But for now, after this scene, a battle would happen eventually when Ayano facing her, mostly is kind of personal revenge thing related by Maria, Tony's girlfriend, with the demon (weapon with twin blades with the skill going through the mirror somehow). Either this one is just the small event or just one of the clue shu wants to find out though my instinct. This is what i can see for next episode. Well, because i watch too much of anime for years, the story sequence and event, they may look like its different including the character but in the end, the logic and the way for the stories goes by having a similar pattern that i already see it through. Kind of ok to me. not good but not bad and that's my own logic. Don't get me wrong, i only say similar pattern, not the same anime. Examples like white album 2 and charlotte. They are having different story but the kind of sadness and tragedy pattern...is similar, not entirely same but not entirely different either. Sorry i cant remember the other anime as i'm not good on naming either.
Man i wish they hinted at memory loss much earlier. MC was totally insufferable in the first 2 episodes and i haven't even finished eps 3. At least that would explain why he hesitated to use his power

Ep. 2 definitely had a few moments to indicate it was going to be darker than it seems, but Ep. 3 was an intended bait and switch that caught many people off guard, so it worked
