Athlete Runs 350 Miles While Barely Breaking a Sweat Due To Genetic Condition

Dean Karzanes can run 350 miles without stopping. The 53-year-old marathon runner has no trouble running a marathon. He even does them back-to-back with hardly breaking a sweat. His endurance is credited to his body's ability to flush lactic acid from his system. "I don't care how fast I go," he told IE. "I care about how far I go." He sets out at 2 a.m. to run his first 26.2-mile jaunt. When he finishes, he joins another 5,000 runners for a marathon in Monterey, California. #InsideEdition

I HATE THAT TESSSSR OMFG
Doesn’t he have to eat? How do you run 350 miles without food?
Actually, when he needs to eat depends on what he already ate and when. Complex carbohydrates provide energy over a longer period of time. So he could conceivably eat pasta at night (or something designed to provide the needed energy), have breakfast the next morning, and go running 350 miles with no issue. Since he doesn't sweat as much, he won't dehydrate as fast, so he also won't need as much water.

Im kinda suprised we all didnt get this at some time during evolution
@Daniel Zavala the way humans used to hunt was they’d chase down their prey until it’d be too exhausted to run. Our advantage was always our stamina
@@dreezysig7469 true, but somewhere along the way as we became more intelligent the need for "superhuman" stamina wasn't needed as much due to the fact that our hunting tactics became more advanced, and we could catch our prey very quickly. Sling shot, bow n arrow. All types of tools that made it towards we didn't need to work as hard to survive. Meaning our stamina now is probably considerably less than that of a thousand years ago for example.

MLB Hyper I wish
Because it’s not safe, running for 350 miles isn’t a good thing not knowing when to stop will cause muscle tear and other than injury’s as a byproduct of overuse.
Would be pretty sick tho so have that much stamina.
If this contributed to the survival of the human race more people would have it. I would guess that people who carries the gene have a high likelyhood of damagin and breaking down their muscles from overuse.
