The amount of clarity you get in the bass notes when going through the progression is a great life lesson… hearing the bass (foundation) speak the loudest among all the high note extensions reminds one that it’s the fundamentals that need to be emphasized to keep us moving; it drives all the details. May I ask about the instrument. Lovely 7 string. Who was the luthier and any info appreciated. Spruce top?
Beardsall 7 string from Canada, Bear claw mapel and Sitka spruce. I had it made for me nearly 20years ago

If it’s no trouble I would also love to know what pickup you have in this seven string? I am an amateur Luthier having only built a dozen guitars and building a 7 string flattop. The sound you have here is very inspirational to me. Sorry if you have answered this for others, I have scrolled multiple comments on multiple of your videos and havnt seen this detail. All the best and regards.
@@gregjharrison no problem at all. I have checked and actually the 7 string has a sitka spruce top ( the 6 string in other videos is bearclaw maple and yellow heart. The pick up is k and k which sounds so natural live - no piezo quack! 3 sensors are glued inside the body under yhe bridge rather than squashed between the bridge and the body- I’m also using a mic and mixing the signals. On my albums I generally just use a mic- although I’m so happy with this sound I may change that in future
