I'm tired, extremely tired of these comments "Oh Roger is not the best", "Roger is an outdated player", "Roger is the 3rd best player in history" etc. I figured out. Novak is the greatest tennis player of all time? Fine. Rafa is superior. Okay. I don't care because Federer's huge career cannot be summed up in one title. It's more than sound recordings that will all end up being beaten and that's normal. I admire Rafa, he's amazing, I respect Novak and no matter how much people want to spit on Roger, I tried to put him down, for me there is still Roger Federer: the one who made me fall in love with tennis. The one who transmits the magic through his game. The one who leaves me speechless at each match. There was a time when he dreamed of being number one in the world, he was for a very long time. There was a time when he wanted to break records, he did it in a very glorious way. People say we'll forget about it eventually. How false. Roger will never be forgotten by those whom he made dream at the same time as he realized all his dreams. He is a genius, the Maestro. And you will never take that away from him.

Nothing has really changed. They have been saying Fed is not the best since 2015, some of them since 2008. H2H was the reason, now it's slam count. The detractors make about half the comments on Fed's videos these days. You'd think they'd have plenty videos of their idol to watch to keep them busy. Alas, they are as obsessed with Federer as they have ever been. No change there, either. Maybe some of them are feeling a little insecure after that reception Fed got at Wimbledon. Gotta work though it, somehow -- ah TH-cam comments!

Roger Federer was a miracle for the sport. Something truly special that you just know is rare, it doesn't come often. He made millions of people all around the world fall in love for tennis. No player in the history of tennis will ever come close to the prime of Roger Federer. From 2003-2009, he won 6 Wimbledon’s, 5 US Open’s, 3 Australian Open’s and 1 French Open. He beat Sampras’ record of the most Grand Slam titles (14) in just 6 years.
Personally I think he’s the greatest player in tennis history, although he no longer has the most Grand Slams anymore. He can do things that nobody else in the history of the game has ever been able to do with a racket.

that said, he packs heat, too, especially in his service game. aced himself out of trouble quite a few times in his incredible career! and his play style somewhat disguises his quickness, as he just seems to be effortlessly gliding all over the court. but hey, nobody catches up to what seems to be every single shot without some jets in his legs! he's essentially the perfect synergy of strength and grace in the tennis world, which is what sets him apart from pretty much everyone else, and why his game is such a magnificent sight to behold.

I had the chance watching Roger live at Wimbledon, before his match I watched Andy Murray ,I watched nadal and Djokovic as well, but there is big but, watching rogerfederer is a pleasure,he is so smooth ,watching him doesn’t tire u,the other players I have mentioned they tire u,he literally floats on the court, there were 2 old English ladies sitting next to me,they were sipping their champagne and watching Roger and said they never missed of his any matches because Roger brings class to the court

This video is case for GOAT.
It's awesome how the top players even knew he was the GOAT or on his way to be the GOAT. Agassi's comments were awesome. To hear him say "He's the best I've ever played against" wow. And Fed was still young then. And to hear another say "he see things on the court differently, I've never seen anything like him." Wow. Does anyone say that about Rafa or Djoker? No, cuz Roger was a genius. He gave Rafa and Djoker "tape" to up their games.

The record of 273 weeks at number 1 for the most weeks at number 1 will never be broken - means at his prime no one is comparable to hiim which make him the greatest ever. He brought many players to the world of tennis, invented new shots, set new standards and reached new heights he was called the goat when he had 9 slams even before he got to 15 slams and broke Sampras

Roger Federer is the GOAT. Always will be. It’s not the amount of Grand Slams won to be the GOAT. He holds countless records that won’t be broken in decades. He was the 1st to reach 20 Grand Slams, 5 consecutive US Opens, 9 Wimbledon, longest streak at #1 and many more. Don’t forget, Federer was the trailblazer for upcoming Nadal and the Joker. The Haters will Hate so I say, Poor Poor Pitiful You!!

No player dominated the game at his peak like roger did!
From 2004 to 2008 (losing two finals and a semi in 2008 but still a great run) he was just phenomenal, only nadal matched him on clay during this run.
This alone speaks volumes of his status as the greatest ever.
Offcourse nadal and djoko are also one of a kind, their longivity, mental strengths, and ability to grind out results when matters are just a thing of beauty, but there was not a time where one of the two dominated for 5 years in a row in every GS (EVERY) they play.
Federer will always be my favourite ever to grace the sport.

@@nikosdioniso3411 that's really narrow-minded to just look at the Grand slam total when they're all three within one of each other why don't you think about the way they played and the record while they're playing in their prime each there's a case to be made for Nadall but Djokovic started out not so classy and Federer had two majors was five consecutive wins in the finals and both were at the same time so during those five years no One compares because it's the same time he was also winning several Australian Open titles
