Thanks to you, I won’t be fighting with those brake springs anymore! I made a spring expander and it works. Thank you again for going to the trouble of making these videos. I look forward to them every week
I was just told about your channel last night by Slick, at Slickhead Custom Cycles. Man, I'm really impressed with your workmanship. I'm currently rebuilding a 78 xlch. Do you have a video about redoing the heads? If so could you direct me to it? Thanks a lot!
My thanks to the guys at Slickhead and to you for watching. Try these links for some head work... th-cam.com/video/1RxGcvm_6oU/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/LU6l-9_GGz0/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/JZZ3F6VEMTU/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/DO69QoOg5Lw/w-d-xo.html
Didn't look like much oil dropped out when the primary cover came off. Should be maybe a hair less than a qt., right? Question about the spring/bolt configuration on the bottom of the oil tank. The parts book, I think, shows the springs between the seam lip on the tank and the mount plate. Is that the right way?
On the oil. yes 24 ounces, a quart is 32. My book does not show the springs. I has a 69 XLCH and it did have springs, I don't recall what the right way was.
As always an excellent video, thank you so much.
Thanks again!
Thanks. Good to see the case looks good!
Me too, very rare to see cases with no cracks...
Great videos- thank you!
Glad you like them!
I like your brake shoe spring expansion tool a lot! I am going to try to make one. I assume you made that one?
Yes I did
