I spent all morning in bed and it was only at 1pm after watching this that I had the motivation to get out of bed. Anxiety has been hard on me lately. I wake up with no motivation to do anything and at the end of the day I feel horrible that I spent so much time in bed and that gives me more anxiety. Its a cycle. Anyway even tho I sometimes get annoyed with your videos bc I wish I was more like you, other days they really help me. So thank you
i feel the same way with a lot of study content. i also struggle with anxiety (and probably an attention disorder). if it's a motivation problem, something that's helped me is doing inch-by-inch checks, like can i blink, can i move my finger, can i roll over, can i pull the covers off, can i sit up, can i stand up, etc. i find it a very helpful exercise, especially knowing that if there's a point at which i can't do something, that it's okay to have compassion for myself and my limits. also, i dont think ruby or anyone would want us to overextend ourselves. (sorry if i came off as preachy at all, that's definitely not what i was intending!!) i hear you, anxiety is so so hard, and you are so strong

I really wish I'd spent my college days in a more mindful, wholesome way like Ruby does. I was just too excited to be away from my suffocating hometown and family environment, living alone for the first time and getting a chance to experiment with a 'new me' without any concrete plan or vision that the whole four years became a kind of indistinguishable blur of endless drinking and trying out different things but never keeping up and taking up different personas every few months only to find out they just don't work for me, never giving myself enough time to contemplate about what kind of person I really want to be or what kind of lifestyle I really want to have... Now I'm in my late twenties and watching Ruby's college vlogs for a kind of vicarious satisfaction :P It gives me such a feeling of hygge to watch these videos, so to say.
Stop that! *puts on Mom hat* ... college is the time to be experimenting with identity. If you didnt comr from Ruby's supportive loving family then of course you would rebel. Your identity was not allowec to grow and flourish so you needed to try on many identities to see what you liked. Did you rob banks or corner stores for fun? Did you kilo anyone? I am guessing NO. Perha0s someday Ruby will wish she had rebeled. Perhaps, like me, everything will go along swimmingly until about 26 then full stop, and the path no longer works and now you cant easily experiment bc you have car payments and rent or even children to raise. So there. You got to live it up. Plus Ruby has to attend college in a pandemic so she is missing out 9n a lot of opportunities.but her videso show her making the best of what she has, which is awesome.

Right now I try to get into a routine where I study the first thing I do when I get home from school, so that I could to all the "fun" things when I'm done, even though I find it pretty fun to study. a little tip for the workout ruby! if you do abs please make sure you always keep your lower back on the matt. if you have to arch your back to bring your legs down it is too difficult for your body and you have to keep your legs higher up. when you arch your lower back while doing the workout you can hurt you back immensely. just wanted to make sure you don't hurt yourself ❤️ loved the video!

I don't know if you know this but the Lamy safari actually has a cheap converter that is very easy to use. You can fill it with bottled ink. In the end it is cheaper(a bottle contains 40 ml and a cartridge 3 ml(for the big ones, the small ones are 1.5 ml). It actually is also better for the environment because you dont throw away all the plastic. Because it seems that you use the same pen most of the time, this might be an option you are interested in. You can also choose from a lot of colours, which is fun :)
Whenever I start a new semester I find myself going back and watching a few of your videos. Then feeling really motivated to work hard the next day. Then waking up way later than I wanted and not getting anything done. If you want to increase your flexibility, doing it right after your workout when your muscles are warm can really help! This is surprisingly similar to my routine. I think really the only really big difference is that I stretch right after I workout and I don't "journal" to plan since I'm a graduate student so all I have to worry about are meetings, which automatically go in my Outlook calendar. Instead of journaling I write creatively for a little, and then I write just a short synopsis of my day in another language. I switch back and forth depending on the day; Spanish for retention and Russian to learn. Anyways, I just came across your channel and it's so peaceful and calming. Time to proceed with watching your other videos!
Haha I love that I'm not the only one who has multiple patterned journals all for different purposes lying around my desk/bedside table! Writing helps so much to sort your thoughts. Also I love your routine videos, I find them so calming, and they change every time! It's really interesting to see what stays the same/new habits you incorporate :)

Love these videos Ruby!! I would recommend not to drink that much water right after working out. It's best to drink water before (but no to much that you feel the liquid shaking in your insides when you workout), during the workout every 10/15 min just a few sips, and right after working out but not an entire bottle, it's better to do it slowly :) xo

Mariana Zamora I recommend journaling. After a long day it helps release tension. I journal as much as I can, but not everyday. Journaling overall is just a good thing to do and even if you do end up crying that can be good because your getting that weight off your chest. I totally recommend journaling!

A way to use the stem of broccoli is to cut them thinly into discs and just cook them like you would the rest of the brocolli but for a shorter time 💕 it was recommended by my greengrocer, and it still tastes like the rest of the broccoli of course!

I don't know if you know this but the Lamy safari actually has a cheap converter that is very easy to use. You can fill it with bottled ink. In the end it is cheaper(a bottle contains 40 ml and a cartridge 3 ml(for the big ones, the small ones are 1.5 ml). It actually is also better for the environment because you dont throw away all the plastic. Because it seems that you use the same pen most of the time, this might be an option you are interested in. You can also choose from a lot of colours, which is fun :)

Whenever I start a new semester I find myself going back and watching a few of your videos. Then feeling really motivated to work hard the next day. Then waking up way later than I wanted and not getting anything done. My summer class this year requires a massive amount of work, I already have a paper due soon 😱

If you want to increase your flexibility, doing it right after your workout when your muscles are warm can really help!
This is surprisingly similar to my routine. I think really the only really big difference is that I stretch right after I workout and I don't "journal" to plan since I'm a graduate student so all I have to worry about are meetings, which automatically go in my Outlook calendar. Instead of journaling I write creatively for a little, and then I write just a short synopsis of my day in another language. I switch back and forth depending on the day; Spanish for retention and Russian to learn.

Haha I love that I'm not the only one who has multiple patterned journals all for different purposes lying around my desk/bedside table! Writing helps so much to sort your thoughts. Also I love your routine videos, I find them so calming, and they change every time! It's really interesting to see what stays the same/new habits you incorporate :)

Love these videos Ruby!! I would recommend not to drink that much water right after working out. It's best to drink water before (but no to much that you feel the liquid shaking in your insides when you workout), during the workout every 10/15 min just a few sips, and right after working out but not an entire bottle, it's better to do it slowly :) xo
as someone with chronic nausea, loved how applicable this would be to my own routines (light eating at night, no meat, kombucha etc.)

My school reopened and because of delayed admission I have so much to do.watching this video made me realise that once u start enjoying what u do u can actually complete and cross all the hurdles

Mariana Zamora I recommend journaling. After a long day it helps release tension. I journal as much as I can, but not everyday. Journaling overall is just a good thing to do and even if you do end up crying that can be good because your getting that weight off your chest. I totally recommend journaling!

A way to use the stem of broccoli is to cut them thinly into discs and just cook them like you would the rest of the brocolli but for a shorter time 💕 it was recommended by my greengrocer, and it still tastes like the rest of the broccoli of course!
