I will never forget when I first saw Alaia"s clothing in Elle circa 1987-88? I took the pages from that magazine, and that started the fascination, as a young fashion design student at the time. Fast forward to 1993, while working in Soho N.Y., I met first Azzedine Alaia, and got his autograph, and the next week I met Jean-Paul Gaultier, both very nice and gracious. Mr. Gaultier drew a sketch of Madonna in the cone bra. Memories that hold a certain magic.Thank you.
