She's an inspiration for all people, her voice is incredible, and she is beautiful inside and out. There's a pastor of a church that we're friends with, and he has twin girls who can't talk, but they can sing like angels. It's strange but true, and this young lady reminded me of these two precious angels.
The faces of Simon and Sofia when Amanda started singing were incredible. Everything about this video is amazing, including her father welling up with emotion and pride.
I love the three women in the audience who seem to be at every show. The one who said "you are good enough". I have seen her a few times yelling out from the audience and giving encouragement. This show should have a guest judge picked from the audience every now and then.
What people do not realize is singing uses a very different part of your brain than speech. I am a physician and found this so moving. I have seen stroke patients who cannot speak sing happy birthday perfectly…we are fearfully and wonderfully made by our creator….yes after 20+ years a physician…I believe…I cannot help but believe.
Just hearing her in the beginning had me in tears. My heart went out to her. She is so brave and so beautiful !! What a voice she has!! She's singing from her past and from her heart. You just want to hug her and give her some support. I love this kid. Someone please give her an opportunity!! There is so much love in that auditorium for you and around the world. I love how the audience was so quiet while she was speaking. One of the good things about shows like these is to see how many people are caring and kind. Contrary to what media sometimes tries to have you think, I believe most people are like that. Some just lack selflove and are too scared themselves. Blass you all 🙏🍀!
This is one of the auditions I could never ever get tired of watching over and over again. The melody of the song, coupled with the lyrics, sang by a beautiful young lady, with a gentle soul with a resilient spirit. No doubt, Amanda will find continued recognition and success in whatever she does. I love these auditions. People with hidden talents, people who have been put down by others or by life circumstances, get a chance to show all of us who they are, their courage and their strength! Love it! Congrats Amanda!
This young lady is amazing. She has the courage to stand before a huge crowd and risk rejection in order to follow her dream. Then she sings with such beauty and grace. She's already a star.
Every time I watch this video, it makes me cry. I feel for this girl, too. I'm same position. I have a stutter and lisp, too, and always believe I'm not good enough, because nothing ever works, and no one ever praises me. I know who she feels. However, she can sing, I can't. I wish lots of happiness for this singer x
yes, normally you are breathing out when speaking. Try breathing in and speaking at the same time and you will find you will stammer. Singers are breathing OUT and singing at the same time, that is why they do not stammer when singing. The solution is break your sentence into phrases and take a breath between each phrase as you speak then you will find your diaphragm is not fighting you and causing you to stammer. Believe me it is that simple and I have been doing it for 50 years or more. Think of speaking in waves. If you are in San Diego contact me and I would be happy to show you in person.
Listening to her sing I sit here in tears. She has a voice for herself and gives others with the same problem hope. Thank you for this wonderful song 🎵 ❤
There was a boy in my class at school who had a bad stammer but was an amazing singer... I used to go and see his band play every week...his voice was very like Paul Rodgers from Free.....he eventually lost his stammer.
I had a serious speech impediment growing up and can so relate to her story. Hearing her sing brought me to tears as I felt her pain and had my feelings and experiences come flowing back. My mother was a music teacher and she was always playing the piano and I would sing along - without stuttering. With her love and patience I eventually got over the impediment, I'm 60 years old now. This young lady is so strong. To everyone struggling - Never give up !
My comment only repeats what already has been said but with a twist of sorts. There was a girl that stuttered and she loved to sing so to help get over the problem she would sing her replies until one day she discovered she could actually talk without singing
Yeah - great to see Americans rooting for the underdog for once. Americans are great on the world stage when they have all the resources and outnumber their opponent 10 to 1. But this was very refreshing to see.
Singing uses a different part of the brain than speech. Singing gave me such confidence when I was struggling with stuttering. It still does! When I could barely push a sentence out, song flowed smoothly. What a beautiful song and voice. Blessings!
Beautiful! I have speech impediment and I love to sing too, only time I don’t stutter … of course I don’t have your voice or talent to sing, but it doesn’t matter, I still sing 😎. I wish you all the success and happiness you deserve!
As someone who had a speech impediment as a child, by the time the video was over, I couldn't help up but tear up at this young woman's bravery, as well as how openly the audience embraced her. I had a terrible stammer for over 30 years and attended many Speech Therapist, who told me it was a Mental Health problem. What a waste of my time and money. 14 years ago I discovered that Stammer is a problem of Physiology, and caused by fast breathing - hyperventilation- and after retraining my breathing to breathe appropriately 12 breaths per minute I now have perfect speech. My Anxiety and Panic Attacks are also gone. A Person with a Stammer only needs to retrain their breathing to breathe correctly to approx 12 breaths per minute 24/7, to allow them to be relaxed. It’s a problem of Physiology. Breathing approx 28 breaths per minute will reduce the CO2 in the Lungs to approximately 3.5 %. Breathing approx 12 breaths per minute will give approx 5% CO2 in the lungs. People with Anxiety and Panic Attack must retrain their breathing to achieve this. This is not a Mental Problem, it is a problem of Physiology. It’s caused by rapid incorrect breathing- Fight or Flight which causes a lack of CO2 in the Alveoli (This is the Suppressed Bohr Effect). Learning to breathe slower to 12 breaths per minute is very simple to do, and no medicine. You can check the CO2 in the lungs with a watch or clock. Slow breathing 24/7 will stop cure them of the stammer and Anxiety problems.

@@Bilb2007 Thanks Kevin. I have lived through all of much the same. Your Anxiety is caused by the Suppressed B 0 H R effect. i swear, things like this really get to me emotionally, the fact that she has issues speaking and sings like an angel is proof enough for me that god gave her a little something extra special so she could deal with the every day problems she has to deal with, loved her song
@Keith Koetter you have to have some natural ability to begin with, not everyone can just practice singing and become as good as she is without some sort of NATURAL ability. sure, im sure she has practiced her ass off to be this good, but can you sing? are you able to get up on that stage and do what she did? infact, can 90% of the ppl in this world do what she does? i think not. IF SO, it wouldnt be special and famous to ppl that cant, now would it?
Captivated the whole room. I love how respectful everyone was and you could see how they were just holding their breath and rooting for her. Just a lovely audition.

Listen to her every day now. So brave to go up on that stage. Like 4 mins on stage and make a diffrence to a lot of people. I hope you understand that and continue to make a diffrence. Amazing.
She is brave and amazing. She has a beautiful soul.
i swear, things like this really get to me emotionally, the fact that she has issues speaking and sings like an angel is proof enough for me that god gave her a little something extra special so she could deal with the every day problems she has to deal with, loved her song
I couldn't agree with you more! She has God's touch!
@Keith Koetter LOL okay bud
God? Lol ok.
If that were the care why wouldnt god just "give" her the ability to tall proper. By your god logic hes just a cruel man in the sky.
Captivated the whole room. I love how respectful everyone was and you could see how they were just holding their breath and rooting for her. Just a lovely audition.
Amazing how you could hear a pin drop as she was singing. Incredible lyric, incredible guitar style and outstanding stage presence. Magical and inspirational. 👌🎶🎶🎶💞
Song is too short though...... I hate when you hear a great song and it's over too fast.Soooooo irritating
@@lorimart747 even if she doesent win the whole thing some music company will sign her.
Never allow anyone to silence you. Beautiful.
Thank you Pete, all I could say was "WOW" I appreciate your comment
@@paulb.9282 I've been around music most of my life. Every now and then, a diamond turns up, pure and perfect. 👌🎶🎶💖
