- Welcome back to the doll shop! In this video, we show Linda two dolls to work on, a size 8 Francois Gaultier FG and an all bisque Kestner 102 doll. After we do a little cleaning, Rachel shows you her mother's dolls in the doll shop and chats a little life. The Kestner doll is from 1880s and the FG is from 1882. (Sorry, the background is a little off on the sound, I didn't realize the motor on my stabilizer was doing that on a live video.)

I really enjoyed this video, I am obsessed with dolls mostly very old composit ones and I restore them which I absolutely love, It is so theraputic I get them in very poor condition and work on them until they are fully restored. I had a great mom too! - One day when I needed her a lot and before the thought of “wow I sure wish Mom were here!” - I suddenly felt her warmth and comfort throughout my body (I’m a lot like my mom was - 🤗). It was so calming and I felt so opposite of being sad!! - different thing to explain, yet so natural and couldn’t have happened at a better time! - 🤗
At this time I realized that mom not being here doesn’t feel so final! My heartstrings were strummed so much, like a well tuned violin, that I knew God comforted me in a way for me to realize that Mom and I are closer now than ever!! - 🤗🤗

Hi Rachel, I love these dolls that you and Linda showed in the video, they are both so beautiful!!! I can't wait to see them cleaned, they are both in really good shape it seems. The small one is so adorable, they are both beautiful in their own ways. I have a few dolls that have a few imperfections, but I love them all the more, they just needed a loving home. Rachel, No worries about how many videos you do or do not make. What matters is your health and your Unborn Baby's health:)!! I am praying for you, wishing you all the best, and I am very happy for you:)!! And I do understand what you mean by things being difficult and then you think everything will be difficult. My Late Dad also had Alzheimer's Disease and it is devastating to everyone. My Mom had Ovarian Cancer which was very scary, but my Mom is now an 18 year Ovarian Cancer survivor, which I am grateful for:)!! Rachel, I do believe in an Afterlife and I think your Mom in Heaven is so happy for you, being a first time Mom to be and is so pleased to see all the good hard work you do:)!!! As for this video, I so LOVED the eyes on the Kestner 102 German Doll:)!! However, I do LOVE that large French FG Doll too:)!! I so LOVE that mother of pearl broach too:)!! And I am beginning to learn that the French antique dolls have those fine painted eyelashes and fine painted eye brows:)!! And I hope that Linda's Granddaughter and her Mom ( being 103 soon, WOW!!) will have the happiest Birthday ever:)!!! ! And Rachel, no worries about the tears, as far as I am concerned, you can express anything you want to:)!! I love both of the dolls, they are beautiful! I would love to have some like these! As yet I don't own an antique bisque doll; just several composition dolls, a few celluloid, several hard plastic and vinyl/plastic from the 50's and 60's.

A kestner 102 9 inch all original with her earrings just sold today in Alaska for 1,050.00. I wanted her so bad and I know her book value is 4,000. She had her original blond wig too. I found her on hibids auction sight. She had two upper front teeth and her boots were not the same color as yours.

I have two of the larger German dolls with the composite body. They were an inheritance from grandma. The composite body on one is in great condition, but the other one is damaged around the leg holes. Is there a way to repair them? I am not concerned about resale value. They've been in the family for three generations so far and I'm not intending to sell.

So can someone please explain what the difference between bisque and porcelain dolls? I heard it was the temperature it was cooked at but how can you tell if a doll is bisque or porcelain?
