Hey! I want to finish this project in 100gm yarn. Is that possible? If yes, which stitches should I use? Even better, if you could provide a video reference. Thanks!!
@@ankita12c62 this is a pretty close knit pattern so I needed 200grams. If you have less yarn you can try my other Harry Potter scarf. It uses half double crochet stitch so less yarn. There's a link in the descriptions for it💗
Not doing turning chains has been better for scarves in my case. Feel free to do turning chains if it looks and feels better. It does depend a bit on the type of yarn and hook used. It might also be that youre missing the first stitch of the row by mistake. Please do check that as well💗
Thank you so much! I recently started this project, and I really appreciate your detailed and easy-to-follow video. I do have a quick question-I think I ended up with a different size of yarn since mine is thinner. I'm not too familiar with the details, but could you let me know how long the green sections are in inches so I can get it right?
I go through both loops. I usually pretty my written patterns in the description but this is just a one row repeat pattern, honestly there's not much to write 😅
What is the width of this scarf? Please reply as soon as possible as I have started making this scarf and I think I have made it too broad☹️. I want the exact same width as yours.
@@cutecrochet Thank you so much😁😁. I'll definitely let you know the results. And I really appreciate that you actually replied to a comment on one of your older videos.
I used a type of yarn called cashmilon. It's a blend of cotton and acrylic. But any yarn of your choice will work just fine. I used around 200grams of the main base colour and 30grams for the stripes
Hi Cute Crochet how are you doing! See, I have a slight problem. I made my scarf till the first white stripe, but the sides are uneven. What should I do?
Ofcourse. I do have another scarf pattern with half double crochets also. For this one I choose to do single crochets because I wanted a close knit scarf with clean lines
Hi ! I started making this scarf but have run into an issue . The first couple of silver stipes are looking like two rows on one side and one row on the other but the next ones are looking like one rows on the first side and two on the other 😢. Is there any way to fix this ?
Sorry for the late response, I was at college and the scarf was at home😅. My scarf has 385 rows in total. I repeated the pattern 14 times. But every yarn is different so do check that you're happy with the length also. If you don't want to measure just put it around your neck and see 💗
Hi there! Right now I only sell smaller items like jewellery, hair ties and rakhis by order. Currently I don't have the resources to take larger orders, sorry 😔. Besides since Harry Potter is a trademarked franchise I'm not sure I'd be allowed to distribute their merchandise freely.
Sorry 🙏. I had put the link in the information button but TH-cam has disabled that feature since then. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll put it in the descriptions right away 💗💗
@@cutecrochet also, is the yarn not itchy? It's my first time trying this type of yarn and is there other types of yarn that i can use in replace? I can't find it
You're most welcome. Though I only use this yarn because it's the most affordable option available locally. They are also pretty soft and hold up to multiple washes.
I totally get where you're coming from. One thing you can do is mark the end of each row as you finish them. You can do this either with a stitch marker or with a yarn in a contrasting colour. Then in the end you can simply count the markers. What I do personally is count the number rows of horizontal bars and the number of rows is double of that.(if you go to 8:54 you'll see horizontal bars I'm talking about right where the grey ends and the green begins) That can be a bit challenging for beginners though.
Of course you are a Hufflepuff, only a hardworking person can do crochet so beautiful.
Thanks you so much! I'm a proud Hufflepuff 🥰🥰
Probably she learnt how to crochet from a ravenclaw person(I am just kidding btw hahah)
I’m in slytherin….. 😂 is that why I can’t crochet to save my life???😭
I love the one hand being painted, I've always done that bc of simplynailogical
I'm a fan of Cristine too, but honestly I paint only one hand because I just can't paint with my left hand 😅
@@cutecrochet I used to do that too, she inspired me to be a nail tech but I haven't gotten to it yet

Hello. Do the twenty rows at the beginning include the very first row of 34 chain stictches?
I don't count the chain as a row, I start counting from the row of single crochet💗
The skarf is very nice
I'd love to recreate the griffindor scarf :) what exactly are the colours called that you used for them?
For the red i used a darker burgundy colour and the "gold" is just a darker yellow

I am going to try to make a child size version of this pattern. Any suggestions?
Just start with fewer chains and don't make it as long. But I'd suggest making it full size, so that they can cherish it for a long time 💗
Great idea! Thank you!@@cutecrochet
Very beautiful work. Where and how can I obtain the embroider symbol of each Harry Potter’s Schools? Thanks fir your lesson.
I purchased them from Amazon. I've put a link for them in the descriptions 💕
Beautiful 🥰
So your video says not to do a turning chain, but I’ve been doing that and now my scarf is getting smaller as I go

Why single crochet in this scarf? You did half double in the 1st year scarves.
I did single crochet because I wanted the strips to be crisp. This scarf is also warmer since it's more dense. You can do either one💗
