Do you guys know that moment when you finish a game, the credits roll and you just think "Well, that was it." and think about what great of an experience that was, while also being kinda sad because you want to play the game, but don't want to at the same time?
All this things and emotions are most common for players of any game, and it's not about the games only. Not sure about depression part though.

Fun fact: You can also do it in the chosokabe tutorial campaign .(just dont take the last province of the miyoshi )And for some reason chosokabe Motochika never dies.(i did it and he is 478 years old now.He maried with 40 diffrent women in total(because they can die).He had 100 sons in total (they can die also)and for some reason after 1954 you cant end the turn by pressing "enter" in the keyboard.Only by clicking the gong button.I have screen shots of all of this and saved game.and sorry for bad english.

Yes, I don't give a shit about warhammer. It feels like a fantasy aimed at edgy 12 year olds. I quit after Attila. Will happily play and watch euiv until the next historical game. I could excuse 1 warhammer game as a fun diversion but a trilogy with no historical titles is absurd.
Gregory Bycraft I enjoy both historical and fantasy Total War, got Rome II mid 2016 (played with DeI mod after 150 hours, for a good 200 hours now), still getting into warhammer 1 and W2 is just around the corner.
And, Total War Saga is coming as a historical series, so I think we can both look forward to that happily :)

Last time I played Empire: Total War, I was happily turtling up as the French in Europe while shipping my men over to the New World in order to shore up my fledgling Louisiana allies vs the evil, hated English and the savage natives.
With each conquest and my gracious gift of land, the fledgling nation of Louisiana became a powerhouse in the Americas...while simultaneously hating me more and more for warmongering. No gift of conquest was enough to prevent them hating me more with each one. :(
I gave up on Total War after that, granted Warhammer is a fun diversion for a while. ;)

I just bought Shogun 2, hopefully it works for me, looks sick.
I conquered the whole map in Medieval 2 as the French once. I was done in the 1953 with French castles in Mexico and Mesopotamia, Knights patrolling the Sahara desert and the Scotish highlands. Though, I did end there. I never thought anything would happen afterwards.
you should try Crusader Kings, its focused around inter-personal diplomacy and intrigue so there's much more challenge once the wars are over (and you can even take over the world without war at all if you know what to do)

I wonder if it would have been worth it to respawn a few clans to keep as pets as well. You know, crank up the taxes, rebellions start, lower taxes, beat all but a few small clans on the edges of the islands, then keep them at bay. 😸

I love story type videos on really any channel. This one here is a great example, and also the HWNDU series over on internet historians channel. Another example would be L.G.R’s sim earth and the tale of the bird people video was great. I like real life happenings structured to be a story. Or close to it at least. I love this video and the rest of them. I hope you continue making great content like this.

Jimmy Savile shogun 2 is Hella colourful, don't know about warhammer but it doesn't look that drab... Drab is medieval 2. I know they wanted a dark ages doom and gloom feel but it's so fucking gray
There were many problems at launch but to my knowledge they fixed most of them. I played it as late as today and loved it. I do still think the earlier ones were better but Rome 2 is an alright game now after the many patches.
RTW2 had by far one of the best campaign modes, however the combat mechanic was one of the worse, so if you just auto every battle, the game was great, but if you enjoyed playing vs the CPU, it wasnt that great

I dont remember much of the details but literally everything you could think of was either broken, bugged or just poorly designed.
especially the campaign map which is nothing but seiges, ironic since CA wanted to have less seiges but all they actually did was remove the mechanics that made field battles have any purpose at all like the towns and villages on the map outside of the settlements themselves.
and that absolutely cancerous "army" mechanic of making units only able to exist in stacks with generals and not being able to just have as many units in as many stacks as you want, which A ruined a huge amount of depth and B made generals pointless since if they die you get a new one for free because you HAVE to have a general.
basically dumb design that does the opposite of what its supposed to do and only dumbs the game down and ruins things that were already perfectly fine.
CA is now cancer and killed the total war franchise with AAA "streamlining"

I have a game running to the 20th century as the Chosokabe Shogunate. It's kind of funny... It's just like this. Buzen rebels at every decade. I have an fully upgraded and max experienced hero army just for them.
Also, fleets of Nihon Maru's, cannon boats and the BIG BLACK SHIP. And some armies around. I change to Christianity some times and raise taxes to cause rebellion and see rebels die by my arrows.

I've played total war all my life, and I have to say the current state of Rome II has it in my top 5 total war games list and maybe my top 3. Number 1 is probably Shogun 2 with number 2 being Rome I. I've even been playing Medieval 2 quite a bit recently.
Waiting for the next historical total war announcement, getting slightly more impatient by the week. c'mon Creative Assembly just give me a title screen or something.
