The only gripe I have with my 450 seems to have solved with this one - lack of engine refinement - while keeping all other aspects similar but inclined for road touring, just what I wanted. Definitely upgrading once it's launched.
They have increased the bore size, so there should be a significant increase in power but only a little increase in torque, for this engine I think the power could be around 58-60Ps and the torque around 57-59Nm.
Do we know when there is official information comming by RE? I am willing to change from my Moto Guzzi California to a more Touring focued bike. I love the heritage design of RE. I think this bike could be a cheaper but also lovely alternative to the V85 or Stelvio.
India never needed ADVs. All it needed was Sport Tourers with a better ground clearance. Not an RE fan but anything or anyone trying to recreate a smaller Multistrada must be encouraged. Including TVS for their RTX. This RE is going to be a game changer. The complete design profile resembles an ADV but the suspension travel feels like a sports tourer.

I'm not Bulu Sir, but I'd suggest going for the 400X. Honda as well as the other 3 Japanese giants have begun ignoring our country and the spare parts of their bikes are very scarcely available! Even if they are, they don't last very long. Check out how Triumph performs in your area in terms of service centre experience, and go for the 400X if it's favorable.

230kg is daubtfull considering the brand RE. Any bike tht crosses 200kg mark is tough for offroading (apart from the offroad experts). For touring this will be good and thts what re is targeting I guess.

The only problem with RE is their speedometer placement. It looks ugly. Either they should place it at dead centre or two like continental Gt.
