I have been filming wedding for almost 6 years now but for every each edit I do I will seat down and stare at the computer for a long time trying to think where to begin.which music should I use. There is a lot of workshops out there on how to shoot or edit but not much on story telling.
That’s so amazing and exactly how we feel. There’s so much great info out there in the “how” but not a ton on the “why” AND “how”. We think there’s a lot of filmmakers out there wanting answers to all the problems you listed. Can’t wait to get this course out there!
A wedding is a story IN PROGRESS. I've found a bride and groom's WORDS, during their vows, during friends' and relatives' toast speeches, form the narrative framework for the wedding story. There's also a sense of generating suspense in the pre-ceremony preparations, the cataclysm of dancing madness and some sort of closing image to provide a satisfying conclusion.
