OK I am with you. Be a NIT. Tighter ranges give you an equity advantage. Be a NIT. But everyone usually folds when the NIT opens. How do you get any action when you are a NIT?
I find that most players don't respect a tight player's open-raises nor iso-raises. I seem to get plenty of action. My guess is that most players just look at their hole cards and decide to play. They don't take their opponent into account like they should.
I just looked at my last month of play over 6,161 hands. VPIP/PFR is 21/17, 3bet at 6.9%.
RFI was 794 hands w/ +109bb/100 hands.
RFI and Saw Flop was 401 hands w/ +152bb/100 hands.
They didn't fold vs my RFI 51% of the time (401/794), so I think I get plenty of action.
Also, my RFI/Face 3bet was 145 hands w/ +208bb/100 hands. They 3bet my RFI 18% of the time (145/794).
If you have the time and don't mind, could you reply here with your own numbers matching the above filters? It would be great to see the amount of action a looser player gets compared to my tighter self.
Thanks!
Let's do the same for 3bets made.
In the last month, my 3bet was at 6.9% over 6,161 hands. This was 150 3bets made w/+256bb/100 hands.
3bet & Saw Flop was 60 hands (+251bb/100 hands). So, they didn't fold 40% of the time (60/150).
@@SmartPokerStudy I only play live and my comment above may be more related to everyone knowing all the nits in the poker room (OMC). Thanks for all the wonderful content!
