- Happy Holidays and Happy New Year everyone! This is a showcase of the villain side of certain PvE features. I have a few things in mind for other showcases like this, but they'll need to wait for certain additions to be made to the game. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy!

Really wish I got into arcane adventures, it just didn’t appeal to me back then but ima definitely tune in for this one. Thats why I mess with Roblox, some devs do things that actual gaming companies wouldn’t do or can’t do. I wish we could get a game like ao or wom on the ps5 lmao

Im glad Vetex kept the silent tower theme. It really fits the prison vibe
I really like the feature at the end, having the magic council chase me was sometimes a pain. I also like the jailbreak footage, seemed more in depth with the gravy cannon attacking you from up top. I can't wait to play!
yeah, and it wasn't even giving me notoriety at the moment to do so when this video was taken! when you break people out in the actual release you'll end up with some pretty hefty grand navy ships coming after you

I been playing arcane adventures since I was 13-14 years old now I’m turning 17 this month. glad to see this much progress and the potential chance of playing this year I wish I was able to experience this at a younger age

would be very cool but probably very laggy aswell
they're planned to in the future! just easier to have them be static for now while systems are made for it

@@BackstabDW Vetex works on the game almost exclusively by himself. He only has a handful of people that come in to help with some specific stuff sometimes. Like database code and making face textures and stuff like that.
I love the reuse of the silent tower theme

also on the first pve showcase video i realised that vetex actually kept the drout area with the same theme as WoM! as well as saving or ditching npcs from the sea that is a cool feature!

Vetex has outdone itself, Arcane Odyssey is quite unique with aspects almost never seen on the platform. The wait was worth it.
we all know its coming out in january this time someday not sure but its just too great too be real at the moment i also love how smart the scripting and npcs are now with mouths moving and smarter pathtracking.
The trello and Vetex's patrons say it's gonna release in February. The trailer releasing tomorrow states the exact release date from what I heard
As a patreon I can confirm it is releasing in feb, but the trailer does not contain an exact date

I maybe a bit late, but still this gives me an idea for a villain character now.

everything looks great, the release date got delayed which is a good thing, for me atleast. there's just one problem i can't help but notice... the ship manoeuvering is "not good."
it simply doesn't feel like a ship. it looks like one, but in the end it feels like you're just driving a car with sails, and on the sea. while i understand that this could be hard to dev for vetex, a ship manoeuvering similar to those in the ac games like black flag or odyssey, or even in deepwoken's ship manoeuvering which is well-made.
having an actual "realistic" ship manoeuvering could make it more interesting for the ship battles. instead of always travelling at the same, constant speed, there could be more influence from the wind, ships would be faster, but harder to control, which could give the ship battles a whole new level of strategy and skill. also making smaller ships easier to manoeuver than bigger ones, etc. (that could already be a thing.)
cause right now, it just feels like "see ship, turn in 2 seconds, send them a broadside over and over again and its ggs"
i dont wanna sound like a complainer or anything the game looks amazing, its just the only issue that i seem to be finding with this game and i really needed to point it out, as i think it could really really help the game.

Navy ships don't really look like that much of a threat,is It because of your ship equipments and stats?
It’s probably going to increase in danger as your bounty goes up, since you’ll have more and more ships after you
yep, plus what the other two said. stronger ships spawn in as you gain higher notoriety. the normal ships you see aren't much of a match for ships like mine that are maxed out

i love PVE aspects of games! hopefully we'll be able to go full on out depending if we want to be good or bad, i really want to sail with a bunch of friendly navy ships and hunt down criminals

A very cool feature would be if all the crewmates on your ship also started attacking other ships that are attacking you, Also it would very cool if ur crewmates could unload treasure of the ship.
The notoriety clearing is definitely interesting, however I do have a question for ship fights when boarding another ship, why don’t your crew mates attack the enemy? It’s kinda odd that they just stand there doing nothing it would definitely be interesting if there were crew fights during those times.
it's actually a planned feature for later! your quartermasters, deckhands and crew members will join in when you board an NPC ship. unfortunately i dont think it's a feature planned for release, since making sure it doesn't lag the server is a headache (imagine large ships with several person crews all fighting in an area, for example)

Magics in the au don’t work like that, tho there may be spells such as summon elemental eventually
Lost spell types called elements were a thing and maybe will be added in the future updates

Honestly, I would prefer the "world of magic" more. I don't know if it will have the hero and villain controller update, but it's my favorite so far, so I hope that the creator will release that update and the other part of the map.
You can be a hero or a villain, the karma bar is only hidden now, but you can see your rep from the players bar (and it is above the level indicator)

I wonder if there is gonna be diffrent play styles like you could be more of a merchant not focusing on the pvp aspect but collecting items and selling them, like I mean is that a viable thing you could do and actually play the game instead of having to focus on fighting and killing. Idk cuz being a like flying merchant would be so cool
The Trello lists merchant as one of the professions players can choose(along with things like alchemist and chef)
professions are probably quite far away, vetex has said PvP is not a main feature of the game, and instead the story is his main focus

big part of the combat is you having to aim yourself. if you didn't have to aim there would basically not be combat

Yep! fighting styles are also their own entire route this time instead of just a side option you'd use in addition to magic like AA

Nice Grand Navy base, but guards little bit too weak (they never been in Ohio or Brazil)
Also i cant wait to be in court and having job of prosecutor (idk what that job is) or lawyer (also I know jobs in AO NOT gonna be added in early access (maybe also not in release))
