Battlebit's quite heavy on the CPU in those 254 players matches. With my GTX 1060, playtests were running about 60 to 70fps at 4K ultra, limited by my Ryzen 3 1200 back then. Changed the CPU for a Ryzen 5 5500, and the CPU could achieve about 100fps at 4K ultra and with potato settings, I was seeing about 190 to 200 at 4K without the GPU maxing out. I wonder how much fps you could draw for a high IPC CPU's and much faster GPUs than my ancient one.
High settings are not intensive at all. It just looks intensive because he was using a 660. Even a gtx 1660, which is a low end but popular GPU. Will get 100+ at high settings.
Heya', I'm the former sound designer for BattleBit (that's why the guns don't sound too great, ain't got none an update in that department!). Thanks for recreating the Minimum req. spec! It was based, to the tee, on my old tower from the 2010s. If you want extra authenticity, try running the game at 900p as well; that was the highest res my old monitor could handle. Oki would frequently ask me for performance data based on my PC when I was working on the project with him a few years ago. Fun times!
Seing 50FPS in this game on reqs settings is really good i think. When I switched from PS3 to PC my main game was Battlefield 4 and i played on 1:1 Minimum reqs. I had about 35 FPS in 8v8 TDM and around 20 FPS on a 64p locker conquest large server.
3:08 you were maxing out vram at 100% resolution, after dropping to 75% the vram was constant at 900mb on the gts 450. It seemed to be the same on the 650.
This is the definitive issue. I think the recommended requirements should include 2GB/3GB VRAM, as I can run this game like butter on a 980 Ti, all maxed out, at 200% res scale. A 660/750 Ti probably destroys the GTX 650 here, even on medium/high.
This game has everything i ever wanted from a battlefield game. A mix of bf2 and bf3 and just more of everything. Except graphics But its so much fun And since im never buying any battlefield game again i hope battlebit will be longterm successfull
This brings me back to my younger years and first ever gaming pc. I had worked and saved for an $800 gaming laptop to play fallout new Vegas with mods, Minecraft, Dayz mod, rust (legacy times) and battlefield 3. Being able to play battlefield 3 at over 100 fps on ultra blew my absolute mind back in the day, even though it was a 60hz laptop monitor at 1366x768 resolution. Ignorance of the pc universe was truly blissful back then. Now I need a bare minimum of 70 fps in any game I play or it will kill my experience. Competitive games HAVE to be 144+ for me. I haven’t switched to 240hz because I know myself well enough I won’t be able to go back once I experience it.
Currently running a 2080 @ 5120x1440@240hz, hitting that 240hz pretty much all the time. its actually such a joy to play in comparison to bf or cod atm.
My 6600xt hits 300+ avg in 2560x1440 nicely. Such a different experience than bf2042 were I have to make it look like battle bit before it gives me 1080p 120+

This game was coming a lot into my recommended feed and you make a video about it! It might even run on my potato laptop! Anyway, I believe this game was made by just 3 people and the focus was to be a fun game rather than aesthetically pleasing. AAA games should take note here - it can look good but should be play well and run on all sorts of hardware. Anyway, nice vid maybe see how it runs on a more modern average PC 😁

@@zWORMzGaming Yup, like RX 580 vs 1060, which I recall the 580 overtaking the 1060 later on due to drivers. But the website still shows the 1060 as being faster. Not a huge fan of AMD, especially since the Vega and stuff cards, where the drivers were always kinda iffy or how the control panel's not working fully, to this day. You should test some iGPUs with this game. So many boring Intel machines out there with iGPUs... but can they play Battlebit Remastered on their PC? Or even worse, the old AMD E series and A series APUs. But those have crap CPUs.
should see what you could get away with using the 900p or 720p setting I bet you can squeeze out a generation older on the GPU and maybe Linux performance on these specs?
