The mixture of caustic soda ot sodium hydroxide with water is called lye solution i suppose . Can you please tell me the one you used. And also the measurement of the coconut oil . Thanks
This came just in time! I’m due with baby #2 in October and I’m very interested in making all of my own home products, but nervous about investing in all of the ingredients incase it doesn’t turn out well. This really helped me to feel more confident. I love all of your videos! Thank you!!!
Is this tear free /eye safe like normal baby soap is? How do they make regular baby soap tear free? Is it a special ingredient ? Thanks so much. I’ve always wanted to make my own baby soap but it needs to be tear free tho…
Can I swap shea butter for the mango butter? I'd definitely run it through a lye Calc to be safe but wondering if the basic oil proportions could stay the same. I'm about to have a little boy so sticking with chamomile for the scent - lavender (and tea tree) are hormone disruptors for baby boys. You need to obviously put way too much of either on or near a child to actually harm his development but gunna play it safe anyway and stay away from lavender completely.
Hi. I'm new to your channel. I liked your video 😍. R there any substitute s of mango butter (not available easily) & jojoba oil (really very very expensive in my place). Thank U 😊
But according to my information, soap bar for children should be made witj 100% of olive oil only, and leave an incubation period for a full year, after that we can useit . Is my information right or wrong, please explain, to me 😘follow you from Algeria
So 100% olive oil is the gentlest BUT - this recipe is also super gentle and because of the jojoba and the mango butter (both of which have many "unsaponifiables" or moisturizing properties that will not get transformed to cleansing soap by the lye) - so because this recipe is so conditioning and moisturizing for the skin it's not necessarily less gentle and could possibly have even more of that lotion-like feel. Also - most people have what's called "hard water" from their taps, which makes 100% olive oil soap - which already doesn't have the greatest lather - not lather much at all. Coconut oil is the only oil that will always lather in hard water. The water where I live is so not conducive to home-made soap I pretty much never use olive oil in my recipes and always use at least 35% Coconut oil or I can't get a good lather at all.
Great recipe! We just had our 4th grand baby and I can’t wait to make this for him. Thank you. 💕
Congratulations!
I am going to try cold processed when my kids go back to school. They love making melt and pour soaps.
Se puede utilizar esta misma receta con base de glicerina?

Hello, how many oz of Coconut oil?
6 ounces coconut oil
8 ounces mango butter
4 ounces jojoba oil
10 drops lavender essential oil
2.3 ounces lye
5.2 ounces water
But coconut oil is drying
It's actually very hydrating.
You should research fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.
