I felt like a proud dad when playing Bioshock 2. And how come no one has talked about the 'Daddy' chorus at 2:02. That is beautiful and gives me chills
"In the first city, in the first tide, when the ADAM first flowed, one stood. With his memory and identity stripped from him, he scoured the buildings of Rapture, seeking vengeance against the Lamb who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the Big Daddies, and those that tasted the bite of his drill named him... ...DELTA."
No one Of importants and then there’s InFiNiTe. Arguably had the shittiest storyline for when the game was released in my opinion. Two racist scientists go boom boom and then reenact UP with a big ass rock.
If there's one thing I love about the big daddies and especially Delta, it's their devotion to defending the little sisters and his daughter 2:05 "You my friend have f*cked up"
" Cuz i'm a tin-man. Frankenstein, knight in shining armor, but to my own daughter am I Daddy, or a monster? One too many times i've lost her once i was her guardian, but now i'm counting on her. " This is my favorite line in the song.
1:58 This sounds like some sort of war veteran coming home to his daughter after being presumed dead and the visuals also compliment this. (Especially the slowly rising out of the water bit.)
A nice little detail about the three Rapture Raps 1,2,and WYK, is that each featured character Jack, Delta, Fontaine each has a different tones for their speaking lines. Jacks seems almost sardonic, Delta is just straight up pissed, and Fontaine has two voice actors, very fitting for a two-faced worm, one feigning sadness and morose, while the other voice is heartless and charismatic.
This perfectly captures bioshock two, it's so angry, Delta is back and he is mad, and anything or anyone that gets in his way of finding his bonded daughter, will be destroyed one way or another, and it's ends with peace, with Delta realizing that he dosent have to protect her anymore, he can now rest knowing his daughter is safe.
Ninethie Music me too, ive been waiting for this for so long! As soon as i seen this in my notifications i got so happy and screamed!! Considering i have the game, ive been waiting to play this while playing the game on repeat

However, when Elenor is singing it's very soft since that it's the only thing that brings a big daddy happiness! Another cool detail is that the lyrics are a near opposite to Jack's from Rapture Rising an example being on how Jack says "Doesn't take a winter blast for Jack to keep cool" while Delta says "Fire at my fingertips I won't be told to chill" this song is just amazing.

I adore this song. Bioshock 2 is my favorite of all of them and this is the first song that I've heard that has any of Eleanor's perspective. Everyone loves Elizabeth but they dont give Eleanor the credit she deserves.
Eleanor was her mother's real opponent, not Delta. I see her as an intensely abused child in a way Elizabeth never was (though the latter's upbringing was no great shakes either). You ever ask yourself how destroyed Eleanor was as a human being just to uncritically swallow whatever Delta did as gospel without a second thought?
Johnathon Haney | but you must remember, she ( Eleonor ) watched her own father be hypnotized into shooting himself by her own mother. While Elizabeth was locked in a tower similarly to Eleonor.
Am I the only one that thinks the alpha series had potential to be the best big daddy? And delta was living proof of that potential. Delta had the ability of all the big daddys. Plus the agility and plasmids of a splicer, the weaponry of a foot soilder. And was a actual person. If they would of done right, they could of fixed them, and even made it to where they would have emotions, such as if someone was playing with their little sister, nothing. However one little bit of malicious intent is felt and he'll be there
the big issue of the Alphas was the fact they only were able to have 1 lil sis which if she was dead the alpha would have died which is the biggest weakness without the bond the alphas would have been perfect big daddies as the next gens became bigger bulkier and more horrifiying
@@jakoblent4694 some alphas didn't die when there little sisters where killed, but they did become so suicidal depressed that even the mad scientist that made them felt bad, and shut the program down.
@@Thatonewebbyboi hay have you heard about this guy named Jack? I heard he killed 10 splices with a wrench.also this dude called booker killed some guys with a skyhook
For anyone who doesn't know, all of the shots are from the bad/sad ending. Drowning Lamb, Eleanor walking into the water alone, the image where the song says, "I got EVE, but I need ADAM", are all from the bad/sad ending. Even the part where Delta sticks his hand in the water at the end is from the sad ending.
I watched this with my daughter. I had tears in my eyes. Very emotional song you can feel it in the lyrics. Well done video to a great song, I loved it.
"See the reflection of myself in how she's acting out, I'll watch my daughter become stronger than her daddy now." One of the best lines in the entire song
Something about Delta clicked for me more than Jack and Booker. I know he's the least human of the protagonists (since he was turned into a giant monster), but everything he does, good or evil, he does for reuniting with Eleanor.
I agree....it was more compelling since there's humanity inside him still struggling to get out...even if he was turned into a mess of machine and flesh, there are moments when you see him trying to do whatever he can to reach Eleanor so he can keep her safe from her maniacal mother
Grant Brown me too, it also helps that your playing as the most badass alpha series big daddy that can use plasmids and smack people around with a drill
delta is my fav because he's a monster he's no slave to rapture no false prophet with a selfish goal ahead he's just a father that's working his hardest to get the best life he can for his daughter its truly selfless. no debt no chains no regret.
Delta is the true daddy that all of the little sisters deserve saving by. When I play the game the game , I am just like. "No one shall hurt my daughter .. never again"!! -Untill i fall-
me protecting my daughter, dude comes over with a damn hammer. me reving drill while pressing shift shoving his lifeless body half way across the ocean
I ended up doing this exact thing during the final fight... accidentally. You see: during the final fight, once the water has been boiled and the release mechanism activated you are SUPPOSED to break 2 pipes while loads of alphas and brutes rush in. The POINT is that they they to rush in to stop you breaking the pipes, they break, and the underwater sequence shows their corpses floating... I did not realise that, and spent a good 5 min holding a last stand without dying or calling in my big sis cause i EXPECTED it to be a "hold your ground till the pipes burst from pressure" thing. 5 minutes of fighting STRAIGHT, having FINALLY unshackled myself from my "hoard all ammo and never use it" mentality, fighting NOTHING but alphas and brutes without noticing theres nothing else spawning, and not calling big sis cause i thought she was doing a thing like with the boiling water. And that was before i died the first time. After i died the first time i kept fighting until i finally looked UP and saw shiny pipes ready to shoot. Trust me though, it was fuckin badass when i realised i faught loads of the most dangerous enemies in game without dying or it being intended. I TRULY felt like the ALPHA father! And when i actually SHOT the pipes everything looked very beutiful... and filled with a lot of boxes that enemies eventually turn into to save on processing power. I had to remind myself that those boxes were actually alpha and brute corpses. Who needs a self-destruct sequence when you have a alpha big-daddy who assumed he had to keep a area secure for a long while and therefore murders everyone who enters said area?
I love this video not just because of the awesome music you can always expect from JT, but because this reflects one of my favorite things about Bioshock; how it approaches morality. It doesn't pretend that in a world as violent as Bioshock that it's possible to avoid violence. Morerather, your actions when you actually have a choice to kill or not are what affects your daughter as well as everyone around you that hasn't lost their minds. Those singular moments that are actually MADE special by all the other mindless violence around.
When you are about to escape at the end of the game SPOILER: When you see the bombs in the tunnel and Eleanor turns around to try and grab you I almost break out in tears every time. She went through so much and almost had gotten you both out but her Mom just couldn't let her have that one small victory.
I was pissed at first because it looked like she turned around like: nope bye" then at the end I cried saying: "my baby, noooo" and I was mopey for the rest of the week. I miss Subject Delta
@@clarencelovett9962 This game really deserves more credit than a lot of of people gave it credit for. Has the best combat in the series, story is still pretty damn good and emotional, and I actually felt like all of the powers were usable this time arounds (bees level 3 baby!).
I love how the lyrics are “structured” When deltas singing he mostly sings with this seething hate/rage But whenever a little sister/eleanor is on the scene…he sings with a much softer tone. Like a parent would when they try and calm down an upset child. Really goes to show how big daddies work. Leave their little girls alone and their fine with you. But if their little ones feel threatened. Well, you know the drill
honestly i dont get the hate for this game. i played it for the first time a while back and loved it. Ryan wasn't a villain i had an intense hatred for, but Dr. Lamb was probably my most HATED videogame villain of all time. one had the atmosphere and story, but two gave me a better villain to hate.
This bioshock is personal to me as i love being delta...a dad trying to get his "daughter" back from a selfish mother...it puts me in the footsteps of a big daddy and I love that SO MUCH....the choices was also more moral as well...when I got to Gil Alexander....I put him out of his misery because He was a monster and plus he wanted it...and for the others I spared them... BioShock maybe a MASTERPIECE and will ALWAYS BE.....but I can't stop playing as Delta....

I adore this song. Bioshock 2 is my favorite of all of them and this is the first song that I've heard that has any of Eleanor's perspective. Everyone loves Elizabeth but they dont give Eleanor the credit she deserves.
And you have fish bowl on your head both you and eleanor have diving helmets on
Eleanor was her mother's real opponent, not Delta.

Want about Aplha? The other one

me protecting my daughter, dude comes over with a damn hammer. me reving drill while pressing shift shoving his lifeless body half way across the ocean
Dude same. I had some syndrome for saving a child like a father that just adopted her.
Tbh I killed everything and everyone 😅

When deltas singing he mostly sings with this seething hate/rage
But whenever a little sister/eleanor is on the scene…he sings with a much softer tone. Like a parent would when they try and calm down an upset child. Really goes to show how big daddies work.
