I can not believe how old Bendy and the Ink Machine is already. I was in middle school when Chapter One came out. I remember watching theory videos on it and being unable to sleep that same night. I miss when games were as vague and mysterious as BATIM.
Coming back to BATIM so long after it came out feels so realistic because of the base idea of the game. Coming back after formerly being a part of the original project and stuff. Hits the soul just right.
No matter how many times I listen to this, it still absolutely slaps. The pounding background rhythm that gets heavier with certain lines works so well!
As much as I love this song, it's kinda sad. The characters didn't get a choice in whether to become real and that no one likes them and fears them. I think sends a really deep message.

We've written your fate, and it *can't be erased.* " Really says a lot about what Joey did to Bendy and his friends, as well as his coworkers. If it's true that Bendy and Joey are merged, then Joey got what was coming to him in Ch5. But nonetheless, 5yrs later and this song is still a banger. Especially the chorus/the part with *"can't be erased".*

I really love how the game left a lot up for debate for the fans to theorize about. I know many were pissed that Bendy was not Joey, but it kinda makes sense for him. He was the first attempt and the only time Joey didn't use a human soul, and Bendy's failure led him to start sacrificing his employees to try and create perfect clones of his characters (Susie and Allison becoming Alice and Buddy and Tom becoming Boris). So Bendy is a monster because without a soul, he's just a mess of animalistic instincts (attack on sight, etc.)

It took me 6 years to appreciate the subtle suspense in the instrumentals at certain parts like 1:27 to 1:34 The instrumentals are heaven sent, as well are the lyrics.

Also Susie's version of Alice is probably the Evil version of Mini in this case scenario, but enough about that, I saw, at least so far, no comments about the parts with 1st person view in there. For some reason, I rarely see this used in animated songs nowadays!
This and the Little Nightmares II song really make you think about some deep stuff… masterpieces. Not everyone can make a song that's somehow thought-provoking relevant to everyone despite being based on a videogame. So much higher quality than mainstream music.
