  • I shot this while being driven through Huntsville in 1993 just for fun! See two scenic overlooks which are no longer in use. Sorry for the shakiness!

I was born in 2006 and even now it’s crazy just to see all of the things that have changed just in my lifetime. Madison Square Mall is now Mid City, where the Madison Square 12 was is the Orion Amphitheater. The VBC has a parking garage in the back by the south hall. Propst Arena has a lobby. And the parking garage across the street was demo and renovated, and there is two hotels in that spot now.

I live in coffee county , lower Alabama and my half sister had relatives that stayed in Huntsville, as a kid and teenager I'd visit there for either 1 or two weeks out the year and I loved it. I love how there is a mountain in between both parts of Huntsville . The relatives stayed over the mountain in a community called Hampton Cove, supposedly has the biggest pool in Alabama and would swim there all the time, they had movies played at night at the pool and a restaurant right beside the pool. And the scenery there was great going to the trails on this RV park on the mountain , especially in the fall .
