I tried this foundation after Wayne Goss reviewed it. Then I saw Tati's review. I like it, but it's not my #1 foundation. I, too, prefer soft matte. My first thought when you said it looked different this time was, "could it have been the primer or sunscreen that you used?" It will take experimenting to know. Thanks for your review, Lisa.
She wears very heavy makeup, so yeah I take her recommendations with a grain of salt. It’s not looking so good on her as she gets older, I hope she eventually adopts a more natural and soft makeup look in the future. JMO.

I have light-light Medium Olive skin and it's basically impossible for me to find a foundation that actually matches my skin. And they have a whole series dedicated to Olive skin. Hi Lisa! I too live in TX (around Corpus) and last weeks weather was a bit dryer with that cool front that came in, maybe that was a factor in the wearability? But the makeup is really pretty!

I agree. I love Tati but all the foundations she raves about, I hate it. I fell for it when she loved the Smashbox, Catrice and now this one. None of them worked for me.

Hi Lisa, thanks for this review. Even the dewy look - looks great. If you’re approaching your monthly menstral cycle then hormones will affect how your skin looks. I’ve noticed personally that I’ll need less of my creams and foundations when I’m near my time of the month. Also it would be helpful if you can share what the temperature in Texas is when you’re testing out products. Humidity definitely plays a role in how that foundation sits. Take care.
I think, for me, it's one I'd have to play with to find the perfect combination. Because I have texture, I steer away from luminous foundations and lean more towards the soft mattes and skinlike finishes. I am interested in the concealer though, who doesn't want/need a full coverage. Actually, I suspect there's many who are lucky enough mot to have dark undereye circles, I wish I was one of them 😉 Very informative and helpful vid. Thank you Lisa. Lots of love always 💗💞💞💗💗💞💞💗

I’m more like your skin type and live one state above you so same climate. I believe I’ll have to keep looking for a less radiant formula. Are your shades actually marked backwards or were you mixing them up in the video because N130 should be 2 shades lighter than N230. You keep referring to N230 as the lighter shade. Just wondering if RCMA labeled them incorrectly in your bottles?

And now seeing you mixing two shades, I am positive that the shade I was going to get would had been wrong... 🤷♀️ Matte but radiant..? Too many touch ups throughout the day (which I never do)..? Nop..! Too tricky foundation to deal with for me..!
I would stay away from applying any face products with oil before you apply this foundation. Your face looked really glowy like you had a moisturizing situation going on before you applied. I would definitely use a primer next time to mattify. :) Thank you for this review! ♥
I purchased this after hearing WG talk about it, but i found getting the right shade very hard so I also have 2 colors to mix! I did powder & spray my face and it did wear great. I wish the color choosing was easier. Thanks 😊

Hi Lisa, I have a feeling it's the SPF & primer you used that made the difference in finish. Play with it some more with a mattifying primer and SPF. I think it looks great for the price.

Tati made me buy this foundation too, can't say what she said is true. She claims that it has a thin consistency which is far from true, it's not as easily blendable as she says either. Lisa .... it's nothing like a serum foundation at all, it is heavy! Btw I am a make up artist and have used dozens upon dozens of foundations therefore have a fair bit of knowledge when it comes to make up.

Lisa says L’Oréal Freshwear Foundation is a dupe for the LaMer. I have never tried the LaMer but I really like the L’Oréal Freshwear Foundation. It’s a perfect every day foundation. Quick to blend out and skin like.
Try setting it with the RCMA powder next time? I have the foundation, the concealer and the amethyst powder. I hated all of it. But..I went in heavy like I do with regular foundation. I'm going to try it again using the tiniest amount.

Check Amazon or even Sally's for a makeup blending pallet. I have a metal one but their are okay and glass ones available as well. I can't wait to try Lisa's lip combos!
If it is the Elta MD sheer sunscreen, that could be the reason. I have that one and the tinted one, and I do notice a difference when I wear the sheer, non-tinted sunscreen. Love the sunscreen, but you really have to let it "set" before applying makeup.

Could you tell me if the RCME concealer got dry under your eyes by the end of the day? I currently use the IT cosmetics concealer and love the full coverage and it does stay beautiful under the eyes without drying down at the end of the day like a lot of other concealers I tried. Just wondering how they compare?

I love this foundation. 1 series shades are lighter than 2 series shades. Shake well every time you use.
I don't care for Tati's opinion or recommendations but I've heard Wayne Goss and some other make up artists rave about this, so I imagine it's good.

Reminds of the estee lauder double ware consistency. I also dab my brush and push it into the skin and it almost self levels and smooths out !!

I thought that radiant foundation looks greasy/sweaty on camera? Interesting that the site ‘camera ready cosmetics’ is selling it. I don’t like radiant foundation either, thank you for trying this out for us.

Great review, thanks Lisa! I can’t find anything that is as good as the La Mer foundation. I’d love to find a dupe for it. I don’t wear foundation everyday though so the bottle does go a long way for me.
Lisa says L’Oréal Freshwear Foundation is a dupe for the LaMer. I have never tried the LaMer but I really like the L’Oréal Freshwear Foundation. It’s a perfect every day foundation. Quick to blend out and skin like.
Try setting it with the RCMA powder next time? I have the foundation, the concealer and the amethyst powder. I hated all of it. But..I went in heavy like I do with regular foundation. I'm going to try it again using the tiniest amount.

It could be the Elta sunscreen she used. It has a tendency to make my skin look glowy too.
Just wondering have you got the shades the wrong way round when you put them both on your hand to mix? Surely n130 is lighter than n230? I may be wrong it’s just I through they went in chronological order from lighter to darker

Check Amazon or even Sally's for a makeup blending pallet. I have a metal one but their are okay and glass ones available as well. I can't wait to try Lisa's lip combos!

The Elta MD sunscreen makes most of my foundations too radiant
I'm wondering if the Elta MD sunscreen may have made it more radiant this time. As opposed to the last time with your tinted spf.
If it is the Elta MD sheer sunscreen, that could be the reason. I have that one and the tinted one, and I do notice a difference when I wear the sheer, non-tinted sunscreen. Love the sunscreen, but you really have to let it "set" before applying makeup.

Could you tell me if the RCME concealer got dry under your eyes by the end of the day? I currently use the IT cosmetics concealer and love the full coverage and it does stay beautiful under the eyes without drying down at the end of the day like a lot of other concealers I tried. Just wondering how they compare?
Maybe the foundation is not agreeing with the elta md spf?
