    Yes, Swami Medhananda's lectures are insightful. Thank you Swami. Gets us to self reflect, most of the times.

    All our efforts we offer them to the higher power since we take the attitude that the higher power is operating through us.

    Channeling our desires towards God has a double benefit. We overcome the lust from its roots. Plus we strengthen our spiritual side.

    Those who are practicing very lightly but are on the pleasure path ,will still get results.
    Someone complained to Ramakrishna that a man was chanting his mantra desiring money and Ramakrishna said,” whether he steps in the river or he is pushed in,he will get wet”. Don’t be hard on spiritual aspirant s you are judging not sincere and are in your eyes deluded. This swami can’t look into anyone’s heart. None of us can. Stick to your own path and don’t look at others.that’s the best advice for all of us,

    Read the bhagavadgita for the truth about how to control your ego ...ill give you a start ... You give all your duties to Krishna..always focused on Krishna... Then you cant commit sin ... practice bramacharia celebacy to keep connected to Krishna.. There are many video's on you tube called raising the chrism oil... All the best ...

      Good practice for those attracted to the path of Bhakti ,for those who resonate with this kind of sadhana . Thanks
      For those attracted to other sadhana if you are devoted and sincere in what your path is. Results come through grace

    Longing for god? What does that mean? What is "god" anyway?

      God = Meaning of this Existence. Do you just like to see/ hear things around and go on with the drama of Life or wish to know the meaning / Source of it all ??

    • @wthomas5697
      @wthomas5697 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kumarakantirava429There's no "meaning" to this existence. If we were content with simply being conscious, which is what you're referring to with "the source of it all", we would be. That's not how we're constructed however. By nature.

      @@wthomas5697 Ok. Why should we jump in to talk about Consciousness or any other scriptural conclusions ?? Let's seek answers to this Mystery we see around. "What is all this ". This seeking to know the Mystery of this existence rather than simply battling this existence is what "Seeking God " means, this is what I have understood. May be am wrong !
