They did not hold back on Yusuke's death, which was brutal. The first episode was a great start, especially with Yusuke fighting in his first mission as Spirit Detective!
The swag is unmatched. They really got the 90’s delinquent vibe DOWN. I’d just watch a school drama of them acting tough lol
This show has heart. Action is jacky chan style and kuabara kills every scene

Just finished Ep.1, they skipped so much content in a way it kinda sucks but it's not terrible so far just feels like an alternate universe.
Yeah its def gonna be a retelling kinda thing not a 1:1 adaptation. Choreography and Effects go hard tho. Only complaint is the outfits look kinda cheesy sometimes lol, the guys at the end looked like Powerrangers fodder enemies lol

I"ve never watched an episode of Yu Yu Hakusho in my life. But this shit is fire. I'll watch all of this, then maybe go to the anime, but this is action packed and not what I expected. Better than Bleach, I can confidently say that, lol.
The choreography of the fights in the Netflix adaptation is insanely good and complex compared to the anime, since they had to basically reduce 66 anime episodes to 5 episodes and make it work. You might be disappointed at first, but in the anime, you will get to watch the Dark Tournament with great fights, great characters, and good character arcs.
This is what I wanted to hear, as it's own show it's a solid watch. People are just disappointed because the dark tournament was cut short.
This adaptation is surprisingly decent. The fight choreography is one of the best ones I saw so far
Did anyone notice that Kazuma Kuwabara was the only person who had the right unform. Green was just Yusuke thing lol and everyone at school wore green too it was kinda funny .
I seriously had low expectations. I didnt like one piece. So there, was boring. I only watched 30 mins then i stopped.
Here i am rewatching yu yu for god knows how many times now. I love the action scenes. Its very entertaing. Im just sad its only 5 episodes. They could have done more.
I grew up watching yu yu. They did justice, they went all out with the chars..i thought they will tone it down like rurouni kenshin or go darker. But again this is a fantasy show. Might be very fast but it works for me. I really get bored easily.
I just finished it. I am pleased so much. It's like a love letter to the anime.
