There are tons of spectators, it's just that they are usually like in huge groups and like at 4 to 6 points in a stage. Look at Rally finland and the others this year. Wrc is slowly coming back
Most differences i find is in the "scenery" and foliage. Road seems to be following same as irl, but there is some feeling missing to really make it feel like Finland, still 7.5/10 from me. Still im happy to see real stages represented, even if not perfect.
agreed. videogames tend to get the forests wrong. nowhere near dense enough. generally too flat looking everything. i dont see any ditches or general dips around the road. kind of a shame. so close yet so far.
@@test-tl8dt yeah, the pinewoods are thereabouts but the birchtrees are not - they look like early May instead of early August when they are really lush and leafy. I would add more green to all the small growth by the side of the road and on the fields as well. This has too much of a prairie look somehow.
I personally think the game was rushed out. The foliage and environment could have been a lot better. The road seems fine though. I personally prefer the stages of WRCG which was very well done. Had EA given another 6 months of dev time, this my friends, would have been an amazing game on par with D2.0
Was wondering the same, but is probably because of the FOV. The fov (wide-angle lens) is much more on the IRL thus adding to the sense of speed. Then also the foliage is not "lush" and at growing side of the road like irl which does give a sense of speed too as they whoosh by
think they really dropped the ball on not using UE5 to make the game, nanite could have been able to put all that scenery in without a problem and at much better quality
Today Motortown has been updated from UE4 to UE5 and that's mostly developed by a single Korean guy in his bedroom so if he can do it why can't the might of EA/Codemasters? For a little indie title Motortown has much better driving physics and gameplay than Forza!
@@somecallmetim42 something that has been said is that it's believed that they had already started dirt rally 3 on the ego engine and that UE4 had the better tools for porting what they had already done into the new engine. Maybe they are playing the long game here and plan on updating into UE5 down the road , would seem dangerous considering the state the game is in now
Actually I think the game release has been pretty good. For me it's running really well and even a bit better than DR2.0 and the only bug I encountered (the hilarious dead escort co-driver) has just been fixed. The stuttering which so many people complained about was a non issue for me as it soon disappeared for good and that has now been fixed too. Apart from some really shoddy water effects I'm pretty happy with WRC as it's huge fun to drive. The best thing about moving to Unreal has been the ability to have really long stages which I'm loving. I'm guessing that they might move over to UE5 sometime in the future either with this title or the sequel which should enable them to make things look a bit nicer overall.
@@somecallmetim42 that's awesome , at least your having a smooth time with it so far , hopefully that continues for you. It does look like a lot of fun, I'm just going to wait for VR support to jump in

One thing i wish the WRC game did was have more spectators on the stages, they feel kinda empty in regards tp that
This is actually what some WRC drivers has been worried about, there is no enought spectators in real life.

Post apocalyptic forest in the game 😂
Nice. I had a look at the Moissiere one on Google maps street view after clocking some signs for Les Faix etc and it was surprisingly accurate.

why fog is so strong in WRC? its summer midnight - ait should be more clean.

with how many real stages are in this game id say its damn impressive
a lot of improvements could be done for sure
The stage is so much wider in the game.
From this video they look narrower on the game

Just different FOV, I would like to have this setting in the game, but it is what it is.
Another thing could be that the real life camera i closer to the ground, and that makes it look faster

If they could not optimize it for ue4, imagine what could happen with ue5
It looks like game graphics have overshot reality. Now we need to put some shitty filters on it to make it look real.
