San Ramon has 35 schools and 58 beautiful parks. You can say there is a park in practically every corner. I lived there for about 5 years with my children when I was a single mom. I chose to live there because of their school system. They don’t only have the best schools in Contra Costa County but in the whole Bay Area. Everything was close by: church, malls, bart stations, schools and definitely parks and walking trails. San Ramon is an upscale community. The houses in gated communities would range somewhere to $4M these days or even higher. This city is definitely not for everybody, the property tax is pretty high as compared to the rest of the Bay Area but it is so worth it. You would see greens everywhere, cherry blossoms in the spring time and beautiful fall colors in the autumn, nice beautiful Christmas decorations in December. It is a perfect place for young families. The transportation is not as many as the rest of the cities in the Bay Area but with good strategic planning, you can work jn San Francisco City and Oakland. I did it before and it was grand. I pass by there from time to time to walk in its streets and take lovely photos with its beautiful sceneries. Once you lived in San Ramon, you would always want to go back there. 😁
I try to be fair. No place is perfect, but almost all places have good things about them. Sometimes, our culture just focuses on the negative. Thanks for viewing and commenting!
SR has been a great place to raise a family, have lived here over 20 years, the Windemere area is really middle eastern and asian, where as the western area has mostly a white population. Nothing wrong with any of these things, just bringing more breakdown of the demographics. You hit on most everything that is great about living here in SR !!
