I appreciate your time in explaining American tanto verses Japanese tanto. I, for one, like the Japanese Tanto in a full flat grind. Your no-name custom is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
The Japanese weapons nerd in me always dreamed of daily carrying something like a tanto or kwaiken fixie. Especially with those traditional tanto grinds as opposed to an American tanto 😳 one day
Beautiful knives. I think i like the Unmai the best. I tried carrying fixed blades but its to impractical for me. Id probably carry one if I liked in a bad area
Great subcollection, Togatta. And appropo for the current 6th series of The YTC Knifemakers' Challenge: The Samurai. 11 channels, 5 judges, and participating viewers compete to build a Japanese design-inspired blade. They are competing for sponsored prizes by several major knife supply houses. These build videos posted 10/20/23 ... watch.n.vote for your favorite by 10/30/23! See The Rivers Experience channel for links to the build posts and voting form, or search "Samurai Challenge" in YT. Enjoy !
Can you point me in the right direction for knife appraisals ? One of mine is a Bud Neeley First Edition Kwaito 2. Another is an early Fred Perrin, and the last one I cant find any info on is a DeFeo Damascus Bayonet style knife.
Thank you! I've looked on their site several times looking for examples that are similar. I found the Bud Neeley on a european site one time several years ago but couldnt find anything else.@@OGBladeReviews
This was an exceptionally good video! They’re always great, but this one’s really fantastic.
Very much appreciated 👍 Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🗡️🔥
Recently received the Ryu. Love it.
Great choice! 🗡️👊🗡️
👍I really love this one I think I am gonna buy it. But is it possible to wear it horizontally at the belt in the back? Thank you
@@carlito7863 I'm not knife carry enough to provide an opinion. I'm new to knives being a gun guy b

Osako zukuri is the one I'd like to have, with a Kydex sheath to wear horizontally on my belt
Good choice! 👊🗡️👍
The Williamson Mini Kaiken by TRC is one of my grail knives. I'm eying out one in natural micarta and V4E steel but man the price is steep...

Wow that's a new one for me! Have you tried Arizona knives? They sell a lot of customs second hand... Good luck!
