    Indigenous Psychology (Urdu) | How to manage Your Depression with CBT is part of a series of Urdu lectures in psychology and psychotherapy. The CBT provides a scientific talking cure for depression. This treatment includes emphasis on activity and restoration of hope. Just as depression comprises the vicious cycle of inactivity and hopelessness, its cure consists of activity and restoration of hope.
    CBT or Cognitive Behavior Therapy is an evidence-based therapy which is popular for its relatively quick results and strong research base. It must be acknowledged, however, that the therapy has severe limitations.
    My goal is to spread knowledge and awareness of psychology in our society and also broadcast myself. This, I believe, is my calling and I plan to devote the rest of my life to it.
    This channel is devoted to indigenous psychology, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, music, languages, perennial philosophy and many other things traditional. I want to share many of my interests with everyone and educate those who might be interested.
    I seek to use this channel also as a resource for psychology students who may have gaps in their learning of psychotherapy.
    I also seek to help those who might be having mental health difficulties and want to help themselves.
    I am particularly interested in Muslim Psychology, psychology of poetry, literature, , culture and art and will be sharing some discussions on these topics.

    Sir.
    As a psychology student me ne observe kiya hai k jo log depression sy suffer kr rhe hoty hai wo is condition sy bhagne k liye drugs ki tarf jaty hain. Ese clients ko sirf psychotherapy sy to theek nai kiya ja skta. I think un k liye medication bhi zarori hoti. Ap ka kya khayal hai.

      Parents need to be given psycho-education. Research findings show that it is often parent's dysfunctional behaviours that cause and maintain the children's dysfunctional behaviours.

    I so agree with you on what you said about noman ali shah or whatever his name is. How can someone tell a depressed person to pray and just return to allah and not take any professional help. Thats ridiculous. Its sad that now people like nomal ali can come and talk about such topics that they know nothing about

    Sir, I blame excessive udasi and self-diagnosed depression in the desi world on Hum TV and Bollywood. These are mental tumors for people. Pls do a video on that, much needed for our snowflakes these days.

    Assalamu alaikum sir. Main Hyderabad, India se hu. Mujhe 15 years se bahut zyada intrusive thoughts sata te hai. Ek random aur unintentional soch se ye ab silsila shuru hua. Main meri sari memories kho chuka hu. Ab mujhe wo thoughts hi reality lag ne lagi hai. No Respite.Khudkhushi karna Haram hai isliye khud ko rok raha hu. Plz HELP😢

      Kindly suggest me how to get myself out this thought cycle. I'm fed up. Cant take anymore. Guilt,anxiety, isolation, are killing me. I really dont remember who I am. Nauzbillah ab to mere rab se bhi door hone laga hu.

    Dr asir respect about how you educate people regarding these fundamentals that think going to psychologists is a waste of time. Please make a separate video on this people dont understand what depression is and its not easy for them and people around them dont get it either.
