    Wow Karla Im not sure if Im more impressed or overwhelmed....lol what A LOT of stitches. Will definitely follow along to see what you decide for 2024. I'm voting for some finishes. Love your sisters idea for the box. That would be great to keep at work and just pull out a small and put some stitches in during lunch

    So many amazing projects! Right now my plan for 2024 is to make sure I've touched each of my projects for a certain number of days before I can go back to one of them - at least 1 day for every year old the wip is, so 2019 starts will need to have 5 days, 2020 starts 4 days, etc. The exceptions will be my focus full coverage piece each month which I'll work on each Sunday, and my travel piece that I'll work on at my daughter's soccer games. Happy stitching! - TaMara

    I love your sister's idea of the pillerbox's. That must have taken her a good amount of time to put them together😃. I like the advent idea also, I think I shall suggest it to my daughter. Going to make a coffee to watch the rest of your video😃

    Excited to see all your progress next year. I was watching the viedo on the tv when my husband came home. He sat down for a few minutes and he just shook his head as he watched. he couldn't believe all of the WIPS and said you would get them done. I told him that I had a whole lot less and he just shook his head and walked off. I have ONE NATION also. MY plans are based on Melanie Watkins Year of WIPS. I have a list of 20.. Working to get 10 done in 2024. I also plan on doing 24 Christmas ornaments next year. Wishing us both luck.

    Thank you for sharing all your projects. I faithfully let the wheel decide what I stitch on. I do have one focus piece that I put 200 stitches in a day and then I stitch 3 days on whatever the wheel decides. I have my oldest WIP on the wheel 5x, my second oldest 4x and my next 3 oldest 3X - all the rest are on the wheel 1X. I also work on each of my WIPs one day on it's birthday. I'm not structured much. LOL

      That’s a great way to do it.. I’ve used the decision wheel before but never thought to enter more times for oldest wips.! I also tend to go .. oh dang don’t want that one and spin again.. lol

    Hi Karla! Was wonderful to see all your WIPs. My plans for 2024 are to start my kits. I have so many kits that I spent good money on but never work on because they aren't started so even though it will put my WIP count over 100, my goal is to start at least 2 kits a month. I hate starting things but once it is a WIP I will work on it. Otherwise my goals are pretty much dictated by the magazine monthly cross stitch challenge run by Carolyn Zook and Robyn Hall. Walter is growing like a weed. I made his "how tall I was" ornament up for his mom and dad this past weekend and I definitely know he has grown at least a foot. He is now to the point that you can carry on serious conversations with him and he understands what you are saying to him and responds appropriately to questions. Now if only the potty training was done...ugh, remember hating that phase when his mom was a baby. He does not seem at all interested in it yet, although I did put hopefully an incentive to him last weekend that grandma would buy him either PJ Mask or Paw Patrol big boy underwear once he uses the big boy potty regularly, so we will see how he does. This year should be fun with him at Christmas. Hope you and the family have a wonderful Christmas and a wonderfully stitchy New Year. Give my regards to Samantha and tell her she has been missed. Hope Poppy is doing okay. Dawn in Texas

      You have some great plans! I definitely can relate to the kits! I don’t like kitting up and starting but once it’s on the go I enjoy my wips. I printed out the magazine planning thing but haven’t jumped in the rabbit hole yet.. gonna see how it goes this year.. to many groups = less stitching time😀

    And I made it through to the end. I love the Richard Lorenz art! I'll have to look for the Family Circus one. Mini Sunflower Cottage is one of my wips. I love the colors in it. I'm not completely decided on what I'm doing next year. I'd like to lower my wip count, and I think I want to focus on my older wips, maybe one at a time, in a daily thread way or maybe a week a month until it's done and then move to the next one. I'm also thinking of working on full coverage for so many stitches or days a month. I just haven't decided if I should focus on one of them or switch every month. See you in Australia!

    I love WIP parades and enjoyed yours very much! I’ve also started Sundae Delight but it’s been neglected for so long. Then the other day I looked on the website of Diamond Art Club and came across that one in a diamond painting: it arrived last week. Will be done much faster than stitching it.
    Happy stitching.

      @@karlastitchingjourney I started diamond painting this year when my stitching mojo had left the building. Now I’m hooked on it 🙈 Hope to stitch in January if work starts to quiet down and travel through Australia with my stitching. Looking forward to that part!

    wonderful video Karla, miss you.. LOL Wow you have so many wips.. I would be stressed out just thinking of getting some stitches in all of them every year. My plans are the usual, work on my main focus, Beach Combers since it is a gift, then mix it up on the weekends to touch another wip. I am loving the travel shelf and will keep working on that for a week every month. I do want to get one of my many kits in my stash started and work it into my rotation.. I have a lot of kits I still love and want to get them done. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.. Hope to see you soon.

    This is going to take me a couple of stitching sessions to get through, but I'm enjoying seeing your projects. When you spend a week on a project is that the only one you work on? I sometimes want to work on something for longer than I do, but change to meet a prompt in Wip Warriors or the Road Trip. How do you handle that?

    • @karlastitchingjourney
      @karlastitchingjourney  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do work that wip.. I typically change over on Friday or Saturday depending on where I am… as far as prompts.. I either don’t do the prompt or if alternate stitches are possible I do alternate.. which gets me a lot more progress. I used to switch all the time but all the groups I’m in it takes awhile setting up new projects so 1 week is working good for me and I see progress and fall in love with my wips again!

    Taking pictures is nice, but a cheap, easy fast way to accomplish this is to take pictures on your phone and put them in a file on your phone. I figure if I can’t remember who I gave it to it clearly didn’t mean that much to me.

    • @karlastitchingjourney
      @karlastitchingjourney  ปีที่แล้ว

      Valid point I’ve done that the last 3 years and where I found some of my pics.. I’m more of a visual and paper person so definitely helps me track when I change things up. ❤️‍🩹

    • @Lisa-vb3gn
      @Lisa-vb3gn ปีที่แล้ว

      @@karlastitchingjourney All valid points. I just find the consumption of the crafting community to be overwhelming and a barrier to new crafters so wanted to share an accessible alternative.😁
