Notice that Orion withdrew the request for Cyborg and Halo to be turned over to New Genesis after he learned that they had family who cared for them on Earth? He might have rage issues and social issues but he definitely appreciates the concept of safety and home for people who don't quite fit in otherwise. I'm glad that ya liked the "House of Zod" bop, some folks tend to clown on it but I find it strangely catchy. Yeah Zod is a family lineage, but I guess that people who serve the Zods are kinda like "honorary" members?
Yeah I didn't say anything but I appreciated that. And great if he's a decent guy but then kinda wierd "sometimes I hulk out and beat children" is just being ascribed to like a genetic issue. I'm not familiar with Darkseid being out of control angry
From my understanding, the lanterns don't really delve into the politics of the sectors they patrol, just with individuals or organization (i.e. the house of El (researchers) and the Justice League (peacekeepers)). So a warlord/extremist militant wouldn't exactly enter their database unless he were to actually incur outside of his planet or kill a member of the GL force, especially if they were imprisoned before said Lantern's service. Plus, GL rings can perform DNA scans but can't tell you the importance of an specific bloodline unless it is logged.
I feel that Orion attempting to confiscate Rocket's tech was a foreshadowing hint to how they feel about Cyborg and Violet. i know the New Gods have different values then Earthlings but I'm still kind of disappointed that Vykin was also trying to argue they would be better off on New Genesis. Bear mourning Superboy was a nice but sad moment, especially after how they got along in the episode where they came to Earth way back in S1. Sorry your boss interrupted your lunch break. Hope they let you make up that time.
Yeah, this season really had potential with this arc structure, but it feels like they walked it back. I'm glad Gar got some help, but we could have done that scene much earlier. Did we NEED to see him buying sleeping pills when they could've just been shown in a shot when Perdita breaks things off instead? Also, the thing with Rocket is that Orion is supposed to be a stand in for her son Amistad in a way. Orion is presented as "on the spectrum" in a way, with the show drawing parallels to the scenes we saw of Rocket taking care of Amistad in the first episode of this arc and Orion's bad social cues and episodes of rage. I do wish she got more screentime. I think Rocket, Zatanna, and Kaldur definitely suffered the most this season for screentime and plot relevance. They sure are *there* but they sure aren't the central focus of their arcs.
Rocket and Kaldur were never promised to be the central points, but they still got great character moments. Zatanna is completely different from those two, though, because her decision is the main reason Child comes down. Its subtle.
What kind of world do we live in when the creator of a show fucking apologizes for messing up A FICTIONAL CHARACTERS PRONOUNS. Btw if you reply please refer to me as attack helicopter
Not sure if you were aware, but Orion is the son of Darkseid. Other than that, the only thing I have on this episode is, I still don’t care about the Garfield side story. 2 episodes about it?How about one weird montage.

Greg weisman actually apologized for the mistake with Halo's pronouns. I just assumed Rocket didn't know yet but a lot of people complained.
