    Please more of these videos!!! You're the first person who's broken this down in a way I understand.

    Love these workouts! Reassuring to see I'm not the only one that holds their guitar like that. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with the world!

      All classical guitar players hold their guitars like that, so, you were definitely never alone.🤘🤘

      Right leg placement while sitting is fundamentally wrong on so many levels.

    The Scale Workouts are Awesome. Definitely a springboard for new solo ideas and position competency. TY, David!

    THANKS David..!!!
    I’ve been studying triads.. scales.. arpeggios… but they’ve only been “parts in a box”… But showing us the almost “outside” notes in the most basic of modes..the Ionian… is starting to let me build something out of those parts..!
    This really is a valuable and eye-opening lesson,man..!!!
    ❤️👍🏼

    I definitely transpose sequences I like (and we seem to like similar sequences) from mode to mode (often through diatonic 4ths or 3rds) , so an episode on how you personally go about that might be generally appreciated.
    Doing so radically expands the utility of lessons like those this weekend.

    Definitely do a breakdown. Love this vid. About to get these fingers moving. Thanks for the Scales & Tales

    As you moved through the keys, I went from hearing Paul Gilbert (Bb), Eric Johnson (G) and finally Steve Morse (F, sixth string).

    @bassethoundgang2800 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice lesson. I like how you are taking a major scale and adding the "minor sound" to it. Bb is a good key to know. Especially if you are learning jazz.

    • @joeurbanowski321
      @joeurbanowski321 ปีที่แล้ว

      David went on to do the same in other keys… I’ll be putting this new thing on the fretboard as soon as I get home..👍🏼

    Dang Sensei Dave! I’m still messing around with the minor harmonic scale workout! 🤣🧂
    S’all good. I’ll take this lesson and the last 2, chop em up and write a solo! 🤘

    Hey man, you've inspired me. Just got to develop my finger movement. Do you think that possibly you could give some context as to where / how one would use these scales that you are showing us? Like maybe create a backing track or something of the sort so that we can see (hear) where they would fit in? Thx and as always, you are the BEST, David!

    • @Breathemusic4202
      @Breathemusic4202 ปีที่แล้ว

      They fit anywhere your own creativity and individuality wants them to! Trial and error to your own ear is the best method! Use the designated patterns and sequences where you think would sound good! Music is all very subjective

    Excellent. You love your music, and want to share your knowledge. And your approach is one of "best intent". I get a lot out of what you have to say and share.

    Not really into Major tonalitys but this definitely adds some twists to the whole thing and looks to be the most challenging of the 3 definitely the decending part of the workout 👏👍
