  • A short documentary about the most important events of the year 1918 for Romanian history. After declaring independence from Russia on 24 January 1918, the Council of the Country of Bessarabia voted for union with Romania on 9 April 1918. The General Congress of Bukovina voted for the union with the Kingdom of Romania on 28 November 1918. On December 1, 1918, the National Assembly of Romanians of Transylvania and Hungary, convened in Alba Iulia and decreed by unanimous vote the unification of the territories inhabited by them with Romania. Later, December 1 became the national day of Romania.

Nice vídeo! I'm Brazilian and my grandfather family is from Bessarabia. In their Brazilian imigration docs they are declared as Romanians. Now I understand why. Thank you! Regards.
