I highly recommend this movie. I've watched many horse stories, but this one stands out. Great acting and a story of healing for Shannon the teenager, her mother and Max the old time horse trainer. The love of a horse, determination, patience, and a good team to train it can lead to a wonderful race at the last turn and the finish line in sight.

Scapegoating? I've seen something similar with my younger siblings. Our mom died young, our dad had trouble coping with life. I was the one who was supposed to make everything right for everyone. I suppose I also got blamed for everything that went wrong. When I started carving out space for myself, things slowly got worse. That said, I wasn't always good at communicating what was bugging me. At some point, I should have said nothing at all and quietly walked away. Instead, I guess I turned myself into the bad guy or maybe they just had no more use for me. Here's the thing. Before my mother died, she sometimes felt the same way. And she said to me:"when I am gone, they'll wish that I was still here" (and feel guilt/remorse). Except, they didn't. Live your life for yourself, not pining for someone who won't give you the time of day, as they say. Humans are often really cruel. Don't let that destroy you.

I think I've watched every horse movie so far. This far reaches my expectations. What an awesome cast. I boarded my horse at a stable where the owner got drunk one night and he was beaten almost to death. He did get even with the owner that night and he wound up in the hospital. My dad and I built a barn for my brother's and my horses. I would show and ride western pleasure. This movie ĥlr⁵t

Conventional wisdom dictates that people take roles in movies that reveal unconscious desires in life: spiritual wisdom reveals how true that is! Horses are majestic, ethereal beings, who for the most part are exploited in the world, as human beings, for money! To love a horse, and be loved back is exceeded in goodness only by loving a human being, if the love is pure, which is hard to accomplish free of lucre. I have been fortunate to have that experience a dozen times or so, only to have it blunted by those who love money more! Movies have their place in fulfilling human desires, albeit they never come close to the real thing, especially love! Money unequivocally prevents that from happening. Spiritual wisdom reveals the best things in life are always free! Amen!

I highly recommend this movie. I've watched many horse stories, but this one stands out. Great acting and a story of healing for Shannon the teenager, her mother and Max the old time horse trainer. The love of a horse, determination, patience, and a good team to train it can lead to a wonderful race at the last turn and the finish line in sight.

It is happening to a lot of us. Sign of the times. Pray the Lord will open their eyes.
Scapegoating? I've seen something similar with my younger siblings. Our mom died young, our dad had trouble coping with life. I was the one who was supposed to make everything right for everyone. I suppose I also got blamed for everything that went wrong. When I started carving out space for myself, things slowly got worse. That said, I wasn't always good at communicating what was bugging me. At some point, I should have said nothing at all and quietly walked away. Instead, I guess I turned myself into the bad guy or maybe they just had no more use for me.
Here's the thing. Before my mother died, she sometimes felt the same way. And she said to me:"when I am gone, they'll wish that I was still here" (and feel guilt/remorse). Except, they didn't.
Live your life for yourself, not pining for someone who won't give you the time of day, as they say.
Humans are often really cruel. Don't let that destroy you.

I think I've watched every horse movie so far. This far reaches my expectations. What an awesome cast.
I boarded my horse at a stable where the owner got drunk one night and he was beaten almost to death. He did get even with the owner that night and he wound up in the hospital. My dad and I built a barn for my brother's and my horses. I would show and ride western pleasure. This movie ĥlr⁵t

Conventional wisdom dictates that people take roles in movies that reveal unconscious desires in life: spiritual wisdom reveals how true that is!
Horses are majestic, ethereal beings, who for the most part are exploited in the world, as human beings, for money! To love a horse, and be loved back is exceeded in goodness only by loving a human being, if the love is pure, which is hard to accomplish free of lucre. I have been fortunate to have that experience a dozen times or so, only to have it blunted by those who love money more!
Movies have their place in fulfilling human desires, albeit they never come close to the real thing, especially love! Money unequivocally prevents that from happening. Spiritual wisdom reveals the best things in life are always free! Amen!
