Mark my word; this won’t be the last time Durst is suddenly hospitalized during trial. After the prosecution rests & defense is almost done & it’s time for Durst to testify, he’ll have an emergency.

Durst is 99.9% corpse. The effort and expense of this trial going forward is a wasteful formality, but also necessary. There will be very little satisfaction for those wanting Durst to suffer a proper punishment for his crimes. He won’t live nearly long enough for that.

Seriously, tho... If a jury knows that a defendant is in jail, it could prejudice them and influence them to think, well, he's already in jail, so he must be guilty.

For me one think is clear. People are the same from the head of tail of this Earth. What is important to avoid chaos in every country? To respect the low, be punished correctly, and in time for stilling a bread to kill a man. What i see here is a huge afront of the Justice! This Court was so permisive and elegant with witnesses, bordeline to low regulations.

why cant the trial continue. trials continue with the defendant never attending sometimes. its only 1 day why stall proceedings...
I just want to say I've never seen a trial as unprofessional as this. the judge barely has control of proceedings. the lawyers are flippant disrespectful and have little respect for proceedings

  • @mihaelapribu9370

THE SITUATION WITH THIS WITNESS WAS PREDICTED. This is the reason for that Mr. Durst nor Ms Douglas was here. In this trial, even we see too thick samples, Jury would say yes. Guilty.
And a break put all little bit in order and people forget some details.

Do NOT understand why the Court and Lawyers are so "concerned" about the jury understanding his "jail status" when the Jurors ARE SITTING BEHIND the Defense/Prosecution (Lawyer's) table (which ALSO INCLUDES sitting BEHIND Durst) and they are STARING SMACK DAB AT THE BACK OF DURST'S WHEELCHAIR HE IS SITTING IN THAT CLEARLY MARKS THE WHEELCHAIR AS BEING "JAIL PROPERTY"!!!!!
A little "late" to be worried about identifying his "jail status"!!! Just saying ....

@@jonaeflurePerhaps you should become more familiar with the actual law before criticizing the judge. The jury is never told particulars about why court will have to be cancelled. This is a well established reason for cases to be overturned on appeal. If they knew he was hospitalized, this could make the jury biased.
