You should watch the rehearsals for this. It’s beautiful how Kirstin and (especially) Jeremy get emotional when they first sing with Voctave. Made me tear up lol

Voctaves Carol of the Bells/Bells of Notre Dame video is, by far, my favorite from them!
I went to see Voctave live with my youngest daughter (a Christmas gift from said daughter), it was exquisite. I heard someone near us comment "do you think they use pitch correction??". Then they put THAT to rest by coming on stage for the finale MICLESS!!! And of course, they were still EXQUISITE! Truly amazing group.

The star of the video in my opinion is the arranger, Jamey Ray who is the dark haired bass singer in the button shirt. His arrangements highlight the particular talents of each individual singer. He's not arranging for altos, and tenors, he's arranging for Kate, and Tiffany, and everyone in the group. I don't think they rehearsed this for days. I had my tonsils removed back in March of this year and have been scared to REALLY sing. Granted the only formal training i've ever had was in 6th grade (I'm 22 now so you can imagine how long it's been.) But this is really my favorite Vocal Coach channel! Love you Rebecca!

That last note that Kate the Mezzo-Soprano did at the end was mind blowing! High enough to shatter glass lol.
Kate is definitely not a mezzo. Mezzos couldn't even dream of hitting the notes Kate hits. Not to mention mezzos have a much darker tone usually.
Kate Lott is definitely NOT a mezzo-soprano, she is 100% 1st soprano and then some

"Mary Did You Know" blows this out of the water. Kate Lott's control is literal perfection and Mark Lowry is incredible! It's the best thing I've heard Voctave sing to date.
If you're talking about purely Disney, their "Disney Princess Medley" is better than this one, at least in my opinion.
Regardless, everything Voctave does is top tier!

I believe Kirsten and Jeremy were a couple when this was recorded. They were on again, off again engaged for a while but I believe they are no longer a couple.
However, there is little doubt about their feelings for each other when this was recorded.
She's now dating a guy named Ben but she seems happy again with him so I'm so happy for her
Forgo the fact that your eyes are absolutely INTOXICATING 😍😍, I love your admiration for the way these professionals sing even as a coach, like you act so professional in tweaking a couple of things here and there while still respecting the fact that they are professionally trained already (you’d be surprised how many times I see people in the comments who magically become professional voice coaches when listening to this song.

Hey Rebecca! I have a heads up for you and I REALLY DO NOT MEAN ANY OFFENCE at all. I am technologically challenged myself, so when I found this I was very happy: when you have your pointer hovering on a TH-cam video, there is the gear icon at the bottom right of the screen. If you click on that there is a small menu that will come up with a couple of things in it. One of those SHOULD be a toggle for Annotations. If you turn that off, then you won't get any more of those annoying little pop-ups on your screen anymore. Hope this helps you. Luv ya!
Rebecca. My former music teacher retired many years ago. She sang in a choir and was a soprano. She got cancer in her throat at the age of fifty four. She could not sing anymore. She had a beautiful voice. I shared your reaction video to this with her. I called the next day. She said, it made her cry. Like you, she said I would have loved to sing with this group..although she said, I'm not sure I was ever at that level. The nice result is she said, if they come to Columbus Ohio. Please let me know although I will be tracking it. She said, I need to hear that live. She really liked the soprano.....of course. Thanks. I will hit you up for a request around Christmas. The song, Mary did you know? With the original song writer Mark Lowery with voctave. Other have done his song but....wait till you see it. It will leave you breathless.

Kate Lott's voice never quits. They sing for ages when doing their Voices of Liberty stuff and she just goes on and on. Totally tireless. The thing is, she's got those notes down to the point that she's more or less having a vocal nap producing them.

Disney put Voctave together. Disney was out to put together one the best professional accapella groups in the world. When disney wants to do something they do it in spades.
Can 100% confirm this is false, though they all have worked at Disney professionally as a singer at on point or another. Disney did however assemble the acapella group D-capella.
A lot of Voctave are actually from the Voices of Liberty from Disney’s Epcot. But Voctave itself is the groups own work. Not from Disney.
They’re the EPCOT group called Voices of Liberty

I believe that Kirstin and Jeremy was engage but they broke up...sad life =(...still this Medley is magical one of my faves.
Both Jeremy and Kirstin are insanely talented vocalists in their own right, but I don't know what went on in the video I will link to be honest. Either they were hamming it up for the camera, or neither of them had watched/listened to Voctave perform prior to getting into the studio to rehearse with them. Jeremy in particular starts losing it pretty much as soon as Voctave open their mouths and then when Kate Lott, the Descant Soprano you referenced a few times, hits that F#6, both he and Kirstin are in awe and they BOTH lose it. It's sort of funny, because if you watch the two guys at the end (J.C. & Jamey?) at about 1:09, shortly after the camera pans right, there's this grin on their faces. They KNOW Jeremy and Kirstin are about to have their minds blown and the anticipation is hilarious. Anyway, here's the video.
