    At first when I tried this recipe leaving it overnight, in the morning it was too sour, I maybe it's because the weather was hot that time and I tried it again for the second time and it came out perfectly well, I didn't leave it overnight just for like 3-4 hours ,,thanks I enjoyed your style,, pls whats the brand of your blender mine will never blend rice half as smooth as yours

    Hello ma I love your food and keep enertaining us but just a point of correction sinasir is different from masa/waina (thesame thing) even though the ingredients are mostly the same. for the origin, Masa/waina is a hausa dish while sinasir is a kanuri dish. Sinasir is flat and wide and you dont turn the sides when making it.

    Thanks for showing us what the inside of the cooked masa should look like. Now, my batter came out well and the outside cooks perfectly but the inside is not cooked solid. It’s rather sticky. I have tried cooking on lower heat but that didn’t make much difference. Any suggestions are welcome. I cooked on a non-stick pan. Thank you

      Thanks +Blessing Ene Sule. The boiled rice acts as a thickener and binder. It gives more body to the Masa.

    Thank you Chef Lola....its a well one. Please, must I add yogurt? There is a particluar soup the Hausa's use to eat Masa, can you do that soup. I have always loved Masa from childhood......

    • @cheflolaskitchen
      @cheflolaskitchen  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good to add Yogurt but it's not compulsory. The yogurt gives it a softer texture and it totally covers up that fermented taste in Masa.

    • @cheflolaskitchen
      @cheflolaskitchen  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Safiya zakari I use 2 teaspoons of yeast for 3 cups of Rice. Jasmine Rice works very well but just make sure you allow the Rice to really soak and get really soft before blending it. I hope that helps?
