Here`s the situation for example : Your bar gets pinched while cutting a big log - You can`t separate and widen the cut with a wedge, the saw is trapped. When working alone and no heavy equipment around - not a pleasant situation to be in. What do You do ? On my Husqvarna 365 with the Inboard clutch, i remove the clutch-cover, separate the saw-body, slowly extract the bar by using the chainsaw wrench - i put in the bar-slit where the chain-tensioner goes and pull (i must do a short video to show how i do it when my bar gets stuck), put a spare chain on and finish the cut. How to get the saw with the outboard clutch unstuck ? Anyway, good video, got Yourself a new subscriber.
That’s a really good point! I’ve never looked at it that way as I do all residential stuff so I have other saws to get unstuck. But I’ll have to keep that trip in mind for if I’m ever in that predicament!
Nice prep video of what kinda gear you run!! Hope the job goes well!!
Thank you! The job went perfect!

Inboard outboard clutch debate , both have advantage and disadvantages but all in all I prefer outboard just because it easier to change the chain .
