      The extermination of Northern Europe's wolves first became an organized effort during the Middle Ages, and continued until the late 1800s. In England, wolf persecution was enforced by legislation, and the last wolf was killed in the early sixteenth century during the reign of Henry VII. Wolves survived longer in Scotland, where they sheltered in vast tracts of forest, which were subsequently burned down. Wolves managed to survive in the forests of Braemar and Sutherland until 1684. The extirpation of wolves in Ireland followed a similar course, with the last wolf believed to have been killed in 1786.

    4:22 Omg Connor and Nabi are just like my mom and I when we had that missile alert for Hawaii. Literally eating in mcdonalds as it happened and we legit just kept eating. Thankfully it was a false alarm, but if it was real, we wouldn't have made it to a bomb shelter anyway, so might as well go out eating food.

      @insomniacspillowfortarmy5776 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol yeah when I think of that situation I remember how people in Hawaii were super chill about it. A video that i think went kinda viral because someone took a video of people outside from a window or doorway and it showed people not running but walking to the building the person filming was in (think it was some sort of official shelter for it). Not in any hurry like walking fast no just leisurely strolling, not any rush at all! No one panicking or any sort of fear.
      If u didn't know the context of what was happening you'd never know of the extreme and crazy danger it was thought that was happening. Lol Everybody that reported or saw that video was making jokes and comments like damn Hawaiians really are just always relaxed and chill, even when they're told they're in *DANGER OF A MISSILE!*

    As a Brit, the only natural disaster I can think of in the UK is flooding. Even then, the flooding is relatively low compared to other countries (unless you literally live next to a river or lake when it’s raining a lot then it does get a bit high). So the UK is very safe natural disaster wise and I had yet to experience a major natural disaster in my life.
    The interesting thing is that there has been earthquakes in the UK despite being no where near a major fault line. As expected, the earthquakes relatively low on the Richter Scale (highest being round 4.0 once in a long while) so it’s pretty much nothing compared to Japan and many other countries.

    I've experienced a couple of earthquakes in my life (in Sweden of all places) and one of them was pretty big, a 5 if I recall correctly. Somewhere around there at least. I was playing Diablo 3 and the ground just started roaring, the windows were shaking like crazy, the dogs were barking. This was the first earthquake I ever experienced, yet I just wrote "oh, I think there's an earthquake here" in the general chat, then walked out to make sure the dogs were fine. After it settled down, took a few minutes, I just went back, replied to the people who had written and said "yep, earthquake, wonder when we can read about it in the news."
    It was a peculiar experience, yet it didn't really bother me at all. The second earthquake was just a 2, so I honestly just thought there were some heavy machinery driving past. I didn't even look out to check, but a friend wrote "did you feel that earthquake?" which told me that it was one.

  • @AnimeGamer0

    Ah man, AX 2019 is literally memorable for those quakes. I remember the first one, I thought I was just dizzy while in the massive line to get in, but then everyone started looking at each other and going --- oh, its a earthquake. The second one though was amusing to me, since I was in the board game section of AX in the middle of Hall A - I just sat on my seat, looking up at the ceiling and just seeing the light lamps swaying heavily. At least I wanted to know if these lights were gonna snap off, I knew which direction to go to get out of the way (or decide quickly to duck under the cheap folding table.) Once it was over, everyone went back to business as usual, LOL.
    Poor Aqours though -- the second quake happened in the middle of their Day 1 concert at The Novo and the staff had to stop the concert to check the building over for damage. I believe most people said they didn't even notice there was a earthquake.

    That elevator story is a lot less scary when you realize how many redundant safety mechanisms modern elevators have. They're almost to the point where the only way for them to fall is for the building they're in to fall down around them first. How screwed people are when stuck in one at a higher floor during a disaster without food and water is another concern though.

    If they were newer buildings in either Los Angeles or San Francisco, they looked like they were swaying together because the buildings foundation has rollers in it. So in the event of a major earthquake instead of the building toppling and crumbling it rolls with the motion of the ground.

    in Peru, my school had earthquake alarms and drills, my first earthquake was after we return from a school trip and we all heard the alarm, before that I felt weird and thought I was feeling sick, when we heard it a lot of us ran towards the street but the guard stop us and old us to go to the basketball court since it was an open area and stay in the middle, it was the safest since there wasn't anything around beside basketball hoops and there was several courts so it was pretty spacious, it lasted for a minute and it wasn't so strong, but it was quiet scary, even if we had drills, I live in HK now and the only natural disasters I experience are typhoons, which are equally scary since winds can blow you away depending of the magnitude of it, but ofcourse earthquakes are scarier too, hope to not get one ever in Hong Kong..

Some people looked around but no one left the room when it happened. I knew it happened because of news coverage and the second one knocked down a tree near my place.
    Also, all buildings in California have like wheels or these wheel like mechanisms that makes it so that the whole building moves with the quake and not against it which means that they won't like tip over or take too much damage even though it is very alarming.
