    Dear Merry Maids-your employees do NOT make enough money to scrub bathroom floors on their knees. Give them a Swiffer or O'Cedar mop and a raise. :)

    People complaining about how the video is old, well, the cleaning has been the same since the beginning of time, what do you want to see? Rumba cleaning? 😂 the only thing that has changed is that we now use microfiber cloths and the use of stainless steel cleaner and stone cleaner, other than that the process is the same and it will be the same until AI technology takes over and kills the house cleaning business.
    I've never worked for merry maids but I do clean the same, I came here to see if I can learn something from the #1 cleaning company in the USA, but I guess I'm doing everything right 😁🙏🏻👍, the only thing is that the shower must be wetted before putting any solution to avoid damaging the surface, plus the oxygen un the water works best with the cleaning solution.

      I came here to learn too, but in my business I do wet cleaning first, like the bathrooms and kitchens, so that when I do the dry I can vacuum out and not walk back over the carpet to get to the bathrooms. I hope technology cannot take over. I enjoy how I do things. Someone told me to use a rumba while I clean other rooms and I may never do that. Nice basic video though.

    I worked at a Merry Maids in California and their cleaning products for the most part were
    from Service Master, their mother company, not exclusively but they mostly came from
    home office in Omaha, NB. Private label brand but it worked great. Some products had a strong smell but no worse than something you can buy in your local market. Loved the time there met lots of interesting and cool people.

    Are the upholstery and crevice tools on the porta vac sanitized after every use? I am greatly disturbed by the fact they are used to vacuum behind the toilet (where there will be high levels of bacteria from bodily fluid spills and splashes) and are also used to vacuum upholstery. To be honest, I’ve watched lots of training videos for cleaning services and it’s actually putting me off using them because (as a former microbiologist and RN), their processes are not very sanitary and not many seem to use disinfectant for appropriate areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. There is a huge difference between just looking clean and actually being clean.

    • @krysiunia
      @krysiunia 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A lot of residential cleaning companies make a point of using cleaning tools (including the vacuum cleaner) that belongs to the homeowner, if available. If not, the vacuum gets sanitized after each home. Stuff that we take away like microfibre cloths, mop heads, etc, get laundered. You can ask cleaners about their practices when you shop around.

      briabba123 At the time stamp you provided, it doesn't say don't spray multi surface cleaner on the glass top table... It says never spray multi surface cleaner directly on the tv screen. I never heard them say don't spray directly on glass top table.

    • @krysiunia

      Throughout the video they use multi-surface solution for glass and some other surfaces. That means the cleaner they use is just as good for glass, as a glass cleaner.

    Putting the shower products on the toilet is gross. I own a cleaning company and our cleaners are trained to spray disinfectant on the toilet as a first step in a bathroom (so it sits on the surface long enough to actually work) . Next clean the shower. Then clean all shower products in the sink, dry and return to shower. Clean light above vanity, mirror then vanity top (and contents) then sink. Toilet cleaned top to bottom empty trash and vacuum and wash the floor. Lord this worry me

    • @Ca31_Buff
      @Ca31_Buff 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Shadbanoo. If the oven has a “clean” function, use that. Don’t forget to remove pots, pans, and all of the shelves. This can cause dullness. If the oven doesn’t have the function, use “easy off”. You can get this at any department store and follow direction on the can.

    I have a question.. my wife works for a veey small cleaning business. They have 2 clients that use coke. My wife has even came across some needles in one house. Always coke powder all over. Am I wrong to feel as tho she should speak up and say she doesn't feel comfortable cleaning these homes? Frankly it pissed me off.. putting my wife in a situation where she could get hurt. Be it a needle.. be it dusting and maybe breathing in drugs! Or whos to say a drug dealer couldnt show up and something could happen!!! All this being said, the houses are white collared but still is indeed they are druggy homes. Id like to tell her boss NO MORE but i dont know if i have that right or if my wife has that right without losing her job. Please opinions are appreciated ty

      just because they use coke doesn't mean it's dangerous. many people use coke, and believe me, if they can afford coke and cleaning services, 100% no one will come and hurt herr

      Careers. I worked for a nurse who put in long hours, and she just didn't have much extra time. She did TRY to do things to make it easier on me by picking up as she could, though, bless her. I loved working for her, as she was a sweetheart and very easy to work for.

      Health issues, time issues, etc. I have severe depression and literally cannot keep up with the simplest of tasks sometimes. I'd feel so guilty hiring someone to help out when I really needed to because of being taught this as a kid -- I don't disagree with it, but people also need to learn that it's okay to ask for (or hire) help.

      Physical disabilities. I know ladies who have bad backs and cannot stretch or bend to clean. New mothers who need help. Air BnB and Vacation Rental cleanings. Airline pilot and flight attendant wife never home much. Not everyone hires maid services. Same thing could be said many many years ago when people sewed their own clothes and then clothing was in stores and somebody might have said, “I cannot understand why people don’t sew their clothes anymore”, or packaged foods, or going to the library for research and not having TH-cam, etc.
